I fell for this scam (https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-84*-298-****) and spent sadly $4,000 for what I thought was a solution to fixing my iPhone. I was told multiple codes would be entered to get my phone fixed. I fell for something dumb, and can't believe it. I now know I'm not alone. The stores I purchased the cards at did not alert me of fraud nor did my bank yet my bank will not refund these charges. None of them.

While I "authorized" the purchases, I was unaware that these were false charges. Furthermore, I would not have charged more had Walgreens, which their corporate offices agreed, had alerted me. My card/s were declined numerous times.

Upon receiving Chase's "resolved dispute" letter dated July 11 (even though we faxed our explanation on July 14), my wife called their fraud department and was met by an unempathetic representative named John Chaisson. He was not answering my wife when she asked questions such as why the charges went through. He was cold and condescending and did not answer why they did not call my wife about the charges. They sent a text hours later about the charges. He also was condescending about me falling for this. Walgreens, when I contacted them, said they get 10 calls minimum a day about this. My wife, now five months pregnant, had to run to get her blood pressure checked nearby because he had her in tears. He also gave a weird code to her about "mail stop" and wouldn't explain. He also hung up on her.

My wife does not to be treated this way nor do I deserve to be talked about when I obviously already feel bad about this situation (I have filed a police report.) We always pay cards in full. We do all of our banking and have our mortgage with Chase. Passing judgment on me does not help this situation. I made a charge on this account under false circumstances and with absolutely no warning from and misguidance from Walgreens.

I cannot believe these charges are being deemed valid, and what's worse, that the customer service is so poor. This stings on so many levels.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $4000.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Chase Bank Cons: Customer service, Fraud department, Dispute department, Telephone operators, Policies.

Location: 731 Mamaroneck Ave, Mamaroneck, NY 10543, USA

I don't believe this complaint. If you honestly spent 4K to fix an iPhone, you are a special kind of stupid.

They never do anything

so let's see if I understand this correctly - you were willing to pay $4K to fix your iPhone (when I new iPhone is less than $1K??) and later found out it was a scam yet instead of taking responsibility for YOUR actions you feel it's more appropriate that Walgreen's and Chase should take it, I mean after all they were stupid enough to do business with you and stop you from being stupid so yeah I guess they are partially at fault.....at what point will American's take responsibility for their own action???? Unreal.....
