Chase Bank review in Lapeer, Michigan: Poor Business Practices

I've been a Chase customer over 20 years, as have several members of my family. I have personal and business accounts with Chase. We have overdraft protection for our checking account linked to our credit card. It helps me to know I will never bounce a check accidentally or due to math error. This system has worked effectively for us for many years. Chase has discontinued this process and now will only overdraft from a savings account. They say this is for customer benefit/convenience, only it is extremely inconvenient for me. Chase should recognize that customer service is key to keeping account holders in the competetive world of banking. I am changing to PNC.

Chase Bank review in Howell, Michigan: Don't feel like they want our business anymore

We have been with Chase for over 10 years. When doing the 3rd five year increment of a commercial loan the bank made us jump through so many hoops. Even after all the jumping, 6 months later the loan still hasn't been closed. After the second time of Chase asking for the same information we already sent over we decided to get funding elsewhere. In less then 2 weeks we are able to close on the loan with a different bank. We are now waiting again for Chase to get us a pay off letter which I spent 45 minutes on the phone getting no where. I was sent back to my branch manager (Chris in Howell,Michigan) which is where my phone call started from. He said he would make a call and let me know when I can pick it up for he is unable to email to me. I did tell him I am able to close on my loan on Tuesday, (to days is Friday) but I need the pay off letter. I am going on four hours with no call from any of the three people I called this morning. I was hoping to get something out of one of the three. I'm not sure what's going on with this bank but I don't get the service I once did. I also have to mention that with all this going on I got a call from my grand-daughter that Chase bank deposited $14,000 into her account which was not hers. She is 15 years old and was like wow. We told her not to do anything with it and wait to see if Chase would catch their mistake. They did not so she went to the bank and told them. Like I said I don't know what's going on with this bank but it's not good.

I called chase bank customer service line with a question about a transaction on my account and the young lady that I spoke with was obviously having a bad day. She told me no to my question without offering any other options to resolve my issue. I then started to state other suggestions she could have made and in a very rude way she told me she didn't offer those suggestions cause that's not what I asked her. Unbelievable! She definitely needs some one on one attention in handling customer concerns. Needless to say the call was ended without my concern being resloved.
