I am a first time home buyer so going with Chase, a national bank, I thought would be very beneficial and productive. It was not.
I was pre-approved for a 200,000 loan in thirty minutes, four months later after countless hours and a lot of wasted money, I was declined for reasons that should have come up in that pre-approval process. I am so frustrated with Chase. I tried to work with multiple mortgage bankers and even their resolution team to no avail. They continuously asked for the same documents and then sat on the file until it was almost past the thirty days they have to make a decision.
Everyone I talked to at chase told me something different to pacify me and keep me held up when I could've been working with an efficient mortgage company. I am so done with chase and want everyone who will listen to know that Chase is not a company anyone would want to work with. I have a checking and savings and credit cards from Chase that I will close immediately and go to any other bank. I will never work with Chase again.
This effected three families and eventually cost me $10,000 to pay for a place to stay while I waited to close on a home. I will never work with Chase again. They were nothing but trouble. Now they have a lot of my personal information that I don't trust them with.
The only solution to this problem would be to not spend another second or dime trying to do anything with chase.
I'm so infuriated with this process that I am considering talking to a lawyer to pursue litigation in this case.
