Pay off my deceased mother's mortage | Chase Bank review from Riverdale, Georgia

My mother died in 2015 informed Chase Bank was notified I am not responsible for the mortgage on the house and instead of sending me a paid in full receipt I have to pay the mortgage on the house. I have not been able to get a paid in full receipt from Chase I talked to seven to eight different customer service representative to no avail.

Are you serious?!? So, they said YOU'RE not responsible, did they say it was paid off before or just after her passing?

If so, great.

If not just because YOU don't owe the mortgage doesn't mean the balance isn't owed. Rather than posting here, you probably should get an attorney as soon as possible before the bank comes after the property.

No, it reeks of common everyday fraud and they're trying to protect you. Is this fraud, maybe, maybe not but the protocols are in place.

It has nothing to do with the name.

It could have been wire to John Smith and the same thing would happen. Also, if this is going offshore, your government quietly has restricted offshore transfers to $10,000.00 to keep people from moving their money out right before the next collapse.

I went into my local branch on 10/2/19 with my court order. I was told it takes three business days to process the legal docs. Now here it is 11 BUSINESS days later and three more forms/steps and still NOTHING! Now my ward is going to be served with an eviction notice and it’s really all CHASE banks fault for holding money hostage that belongs to an incapacitated person. Shame on your legal department.

After some consistency was finally able to obtain some information. I got notice that i would get card in3 to 5 business. After being persistent i was told up to ten business days... Just not sure. Facepalm
