Chase Bank - Chase QuickPay Does NOT Offer Consumer Protection
I've been a Chase credit card customer for over two decades.
I too just learned a valuable lesson in using Chase QuickPay.
The service offers NO CONSUMER PROTECTION like PayPal for disputes between buyer/seller. Chase will not even take a claim or dispute especially if you do not have a checking account with them.
I'M CLOSING MY CHASE CREDIT CARD WITH THEM.
My contractor Stuart Construction and Ocean Flooring has not finished a remodel of a 455 square foot condo in four months, hasn't returned remodel plans, nor has gotten permits signed off with $36,000 paid.
I will report Stuart Construction and Ocean Flooring to the license board if all the projects are not finished.
I called Chase to see if there was any protection against these cases to reverse the payment and they said no.
I have supporting documentation that fraud exists with the contractor who is using Chase QuickPay as a means to receive funds.
Beware of using Chase QuickPay to pay for products or services, especially now that Chase QuickPay is allowing anyone to setup an account, without owning a Chase Bank Account. There is no consumer protection.
Reason of review: No Consumer Protection.
Monetary Loss: $3600.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Chase Bank Cons: No consumer protection with quickpay.
Location: San Diego, California
