Chase Bank review in Phoenix, Arizona: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Recently applied for 0% card with Chase to consolidate current debt and pay off sooner. Fraud dept sent me a letter that since it was such a large transfer they wanted to confirm my identity. Pleased about that. Then I called rep to confirm it wasn't fraud and rep told me I had been approved for the transfers and would be getting my new card soon. When the card came it was only for $300. Not even close to a the large transfer that she said I was approved for. When I called back and spoke to several reps and finally a mgr; they pulled up a recording of the original call and it was clear she said I was approved. The mgr then made excuses and said that isn't what she meant. I asked to speak to someone above her. She hung up on me. When I called back and spoke to another mgr she said there was nothing further they could do and hung up on me. So much for customer service. I never would have opened a card with them for only $300. This defeats the purpose of what I was trying to do. THE WORST!

Chase Bank review in Phoenix, Arizona: Website problems

3.0
Details
For months now I have been unable to access my 3 credit card and my mortgage accounts. I have to do a song and dance just to get into see any of this. This has been going on for many months now. I have called time and again to have this fixed. They fix it so for perhaps 1 day I am able to log in and then once again it starts. Today I try again and get this same message that my computer cannot be recognized. I call them and get the run around. I talk to 7 different people. This is outrageous for this to happen. All I want to do is check my accounts. This does not happen with any of my other financial institutions. As I write this I am now being transferred once again to internet services. Back to where I was when that person asked me to hold for 2 minutes while he checked on something and never came back. I guess he disappeared into the black hole. Now they say something about the browser not having the cookies. Wouldn't this be something I would find to be the same with all my other accounts? Only with Chase do I have this problem. RAY RUIZ, SAN ANTONIO TX, ONLINE TECH SUPPORT was the last person I spoke with who insisted this is a Google Chrome browser issue. I finally got off phone call which lasted for approximately 1 hour. What a waste of my time. I am seriously thinking of cancelling my credit cards and going elsewhere for my mortgage.

Chase Bank review in Phoenix, Arizona: Chase pillaged my 7yr old daugthers $300 savings through $20/month fees

My wife went into open a basic savings account for our 7yr old daugther. We are not of means and this was to be her first account for birthday money and other modest savings. My wife opened the account with $300 at our local branch on 7th and Bell in Phoenix, AZ. Rather than opening a regular Chase Savings with no service fees, the agent sold her the Plus Savings which requires a $15,000 balance to avoid the $20 service fees. Facts, which were not told to her at the time. The representative also signed her up for paperless statements, so we wouldn't see it on a monthly basis. My wife and I bear some responsibility in not checking on the account, but what's clear is that the Chase local representative upsold the account to get the $50 commission for doing so. When we reported this to the local branch, they only refunded us the past 2 months of fees, even though they had been widdling away at this account for two plus years. They even acknowledged that this has happened before as represtantatives come and go and that it's not uncommon as the commission provides the incentive for doing so. After several weeks of trying to speak to someone who cares and will acknowledge the unetical nature of offering commissions for upselling accounts that don't fit the customer and their finances, I'm giving up. I am moving to a fee-less bank and will never do business with Chase again. Word to the wise, be careful when opening accounts, read every detail and don't trust what they're telling you.

Don't feel so bad. Chase bank purchased our mortgage from another lender, turned it into a home equity line of credit instead of a conventional mortgage, and then stole the property from us!

We had 2 rental properties that were financed with the same bank. Chase bank purchased both mortgages and turned them both into home equity lines of credit. Originally, we refinanced both mortgages on the same exact day, for the same exact amount of money, and at the same exact interest rate. This all changed after Chase bank purchased the mortgages.

We always sent 2 checks for payment (one for each mortgage) for many years and all of a sudden Chase bank is telling us that we haven't made a payment on one of the properties in over 6 months! How is it that they receive both checks but only apply one of them? What happens to the other check? They claim to not know either.

Instead of sitting down with us to work this out they put the property in foreclosure, added thousands of dollars in fees to make sure we wouldn't be able to afford to get the property back, and then they finalized the foreclosure.

Basically they STOLE our property! After doing a little bit of searching online we are finding that they did this same exact thing to numerous other people!

Chase Bank review in Phoenix, Arizona: Poor customer service

Terrible customer service!!! They just don't care to help at all. I have held a chase card for years and have been on automatic payments. Well someone hijacked my card and tried to make some charges, so they canceled my card and issued a new one. Great, but here is where the trouble begins. My automatic payement were being rejected by Chase because of the new card. I had no idea that they were not accepting my payments until my card stopped working. Called Chase and found out what had happen, so I paid the balance in full the same day over the phone. I found out that they put a 30 day late on my credit score. I called Chase and asked for help getting it corrected. They said they would not. Have proof from my bank that payments were made but rejected. They problably can see from thier side payments were rejected. Have letter from Chase saying how sorry they were about my card being hijacked, but there is no mention of the need to adjust automatic payments. Called chase again with all the documentation but was still told that they no would not help. This is just crazy!!! Full paper and electronic trail and they won't help. I was with them for years and this is how they treat me. Legalistic dopes. I recommend you never go with Chase.

These guys have my Home loan from Chase. It has been a nitemare ever since. Thank Goodness for my American Family Insurance carrier for there patience dealing with this company. I'm seriously considering to refinance just to get this company out of my life. I had FEMA Required Flood Insurance with Chase and everything was fine. Now with this company they want more coverage. More money for Insurance I will never use. I get a notice at least every month with the same noticies of under coverage even though my insurance agent talks to ther CSR's. Chase Bank sucks!

I currently bank with Chase bank and they have totally pissed me off. At first everything was fine, but then today they just made me go off the rails. My information was stolen somehow, online I would assume, but anyway someone started charging my card. At first, Chase took care of the matter even alerted me on one of the charges so that it didn't even go through to my statement for me to see. The other matter was actually handled by the company trying to charge me thank goodness. And then the last charge, by Yahoo!, who I now am pretty pissed off at as well, was disputed and then they cleared it and then Yahoo! sent them "verification" showing that I made the charge and they gave the money back. Well they sent me the "verification" and yes it had all of my information on it, but I did not make the charge. I called Chase back to let them know that it wasn't me. Do you want to know what they told me? They said that once the merchant sends them "verification" and they give the money back to them it's out of their hands. Now the charge was only for $9.95, but I noticed that it was a recurring charge, so thank god I stopped that card, but it's the principal of the thing. Between Chase and Yahoo! a fraud happened on my accound and they're going to just let it happen. So yes, I'm pissed at my bank. I haven't actually spoken to anyone at Yahoo! yet, maybe I'll get lucky and I'll manage to speak to someone who gets what's going on, but this sucks. Okay, I've said my peace, thanks for reading.

I can totally relate! You are very lucky Chase didn't STEAL your property from you like they did to us.

We had 2 rental properties that we financed with a different lender on the same exact day, for the same exact amount of money, and at the same exact interest rate. Then we were notified that Chase Bank purchased our mortgages from the original lender. Chase Bank somehow turned them into home equity lines of credit instead of conventional mortgages like we originally set up. For many years we always send payments for both properties in one envelope without any issues.

All of a sudden Chase is telling us we haven't made a payment on one of the properties in like 6 months! Every time we've ever called Chase they were never able to figure out which property we were calling about, their representatives were very rude, and not one time were any of them able to help us! Instead of sitting down with us to figure this all out they put the house in foreclosure, tacked on thousands of dollars worth of fees to make sure we couldn't afford to pay it all, and then finalized the foreclosure! They flat out STOLE our property!!!

After doing some searching online we are finding that we are only 1 of many other people they did the same exact thing to. I would love to find a contact like a lawyer or something that represented one of these other people to find out if we have any recourse!

Because you wanted to "cash" the money order during your first visit to the bank. In that case you needed to have funds equal to the money order, or more, to ensure the bank they wouldn't lose money if the money order was fraudulent.

On your second visit you simply wanted to "deposit" the money order.

Had you deposited it and immediately attempted to withdrawal those funds you'd be right back in the position you were initially during the first visit. A very limited amount would be available, or possibly none at all until verification the money order was in fact good.
