Customer Service Calls

I get so mad everytime I try to make a customer service call to Chase Finance on our Mortage Account. You always get someone from India, Manila or somewhere outside of the United States. I DID NOT BUY MY HOME OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES, I DID NOT FINANCE MY HOME OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES and I DO NOT MAKE PAYMENT'S OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES. Therefore I WILL NOT SPEAK TO ANYONE outside of the UNITED STATES about my account!!!!!! Pay people in the United states to handle your calls then I will be glad to talk with them Chase Mortgage Company!!!!

CHASE Bank - 7908 E Chaparral in Scottsdale AZ

Go to a different Branch! Lindsey Corbet (Manager) clearly has no people skills and no management skills. She can't run the place with lines out the door, and bankers trying to sell me EVERYTIME I walk in for a simple deposit. If you need something resolved... forget it! She'll say she has it on her "to do" list for weeks and in the end she will say "unfortunately there is NOTHING we can do"... She sucks!!! Don't switch banks, just find a different branch where you can deal with people that have a brain and common courtesy...

Chase is withholding the money from the contractors who repaired our home after a fire

On 01/13/11 I had a fire at my home. The insurance company provided us with an excellent contractor who has worked hard to meet the completion dead line of 5/23/11 established by the city code dept. Now Chase is holding the check from the insurance company and is not paying the contractor. Someone from chase told the contractors that she spoke with me on the phone and I said it was ok for them to hold the check until the job was complete. No phone service at the house since 1/14/11. Didn't talk to me!

Chase Ink Card Zero % Balance transfer fraud

Chase Ink offered a zero % balance transfer to my credit card. I already had a balance on my card at 9.99 percent which I always paid on time. Since the balance transfer was completed, they have been applying my monthly on-time payments to the zero percent portion rather than the higher interest part of my balance. I complained the first month so they offered me their blueprint plan to pay off the higher interest portion of my balance first rather than the zero % portion. This never fixed the problem. Their explanation is not understandable at all. This is a scam. Don't do a balance transfer with them. Anyone doing a class action against them? They are pirates.

I had a similar issue. They said that for business card accounts the consumer law does not require them to apply payments to the highest interest. People need to be careful.

Hagens Berman, a consumer protection law firm, is investigating major banks, including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase and HSBC to determine if the banks misrepresent transfer balance programs to consumers. If you would like to learn more about the firm’s investigation, go to www.hbsslaw.com/transferbalances.

Modification is a lie and a nightmare

No matter what you do they just drag you along and seem to want to take your home. They won't let you make payments and trash your credit. My neighbor let his house go and filed bankruptcy and has better credit than me thanks to Chase dragging this out. Also my second mortgage at Bank of America is now charging me foreclosure fees even though I've never made a late payment....thanks to Chase. Make sure that they can never service your loan. They put friendly people at the Home Loan Branches to string you along. Buyer beware!

Absolutely true! I was sending payments, and Chase was sending them back.

Now, they denied my modification, which stretched on since October, 2009, and I'm paying over $700.00 more per month for the next 2 years just to keep my house.

First, they said all I needed to do was pay 3 months in a row, and the outstanding balance would be deferred to the end of the loan, but they wouldn't let me make payments, and, when asked why, no good reason was given as to WHY the payments weren't accepted, and no one ever heard of this 'pay 3 months in a row and the balance is deferred' option. Ridiculous.

Chase Funds Transfer Scam

I use Chase Quickpay to move funds between my Chase account and another USBank account. When I initiate a payment from USBank to my Chase account, Chase immediately debits my USBank Account (allowing them to use that money as an asset and draw interest). The funds are shown as "on hold" in my Chase account two business days later, but not available until 5 business days later. This is using accounts that are fully registered. I don't understand the risk to Chase? They have the money on day ONE! OK, Monday the 1st I request a transfer from USBank to my Chase checking account. (USBank account previously registered). On the 1st Chase takes the money. On the 3rd, Chase tells me the money is in my Chase account but on hold until Friday the 5th.

Suied for over $1200 for a credit card I owed $360

I absolutely hate Chase Bank they are the most successful criminals out there today. I had a Wamu bank credit card the company was bought by Chase Bank while I was unemployed. As soon as Chase took over the *** began over limit + late on top of over limit. It went from $360 to over $1200. This was done purposely to make money. I had other credit cards I could not pay while unemployed None were as ruthless Chase with inflated charges almost 3x the original debt. During the time I was out of work I talked to many companies to make them aware of my situation and let them know I was doing everything I could to make arrangements/payments. The Chase representative was the Only one who had a "to bad so sad attitude". There were no offers to try and help. When I asked why the fees were so grossly inflated the representative said (loosely translated) "you know that's part of how credit cards work". Not all credit cards or the companies... and I can say that from experience.

"Chase Bank is 'fraudulent'…After legally obtaining POA and submitting the documents for joint account privileges, the account and all online access was blocked. ATM's and debit cards were canceled.

I am now unable to pay for Hospice Care for a terminal cancer patient. Customer service has been unbelievable as I have tried to resolve the issue via phone and in person at the local branch. The phone customer service continually directs me to contact the branch manager. The branch manager has repeatedly stated that they cannot accept a contact number or location to the account holder (for verification of POA), nor can they give a contact number to corporate management to help resolve the issue.

You are correct, the employees of Chase are conditioned to respond so as to not lose their jobs. I am distraught! I am capable and have the legal right to help this woman pass with dignity.

What gives Chase the right to deny her of that. I feel helpless!

Chase Refinance Scam

I have been "in process" or refinancing my home with Chase Mortgage for about 6 months now. During that time, I have experienced nothing but grief caused by their utter incompetence. They have requested 5 duplicates of my financial records, lost much of my information, and never actually allowed me to talk to a single person that actually knew enough to answer any of my questions. Every month that they delayed my loan, they requested updated financial information. I complained each time becuase I was very afraid of identity theft. This is especially true when the person on the other end of the line has no record of me even sending my information the first 5 times. When they finally got to the point that they said I could close, they socked me with a bunch of extensions that added points to my refinance. They wanted over 8K to close. The appraisal was done which devalued my home well below market value and they required mortgage insurance. To this day I could never get an answer out of them what that would cost. Not that I would ever do this anyway. I would never even consider owning a house that I couldn't put enough money towards to not require mortgage insurance. After I finally got sick enough of all this, I told them to just cancel the whole thing. Well guess what, they couldn't refund the $400 app fee because it was against their policy. I was basically charged $400 for 6 months of frustration caused by their incompetence. As a bonus, I also have a fear that someone withing their obviously screwed up business is doing something with my personal info. My message to all: Stay as far away from these folks. They use the Chase name which I always considered to be a sound name in the financial world to scam the honest and hard working folks of this country. What an absolute shame. If I can figure out what to do about it, I'll be all over it.

fell for the refinance scam to lower my payment. in month 4 I get a letter stating my payment was going up to more than it was before I ref. Next time at least tell me Chase you are going to screw me so I see it coming.

#470079

I refinanaced my morgage thru a diff company. That company then sold it to chase.

Everything was fine for the 1st couple of months till my payments started goin up!! I called them and asked why. They told me that its their policy to have escrow accounts for their morgages for taxes. Well I paid all my taxes on my own and never signed any papers to have a escrow account!

They told me they can just do it wether I want it or not! Plus every 3 months they would put me on their home owners ins even tho I had my own. After faxing and refaxing and faxing again a copy of my paid policy they would fix it. Long story short....cons all cons!!!

Over a 6 month period my payments went up more then $600 extra a month...tried modification had the same problems every1 else here has...then filed bankrupcey and told them they can have the house!!! Now 2 years after they dont want the house and want to pay me to sell it for them!!!

Fat chance!!! I want nothing to do with them and that house which legally they own but wont take!!!

#469050

I applied for a loan modification and Chase delayed me 6 months while asking for the same documents previously sent, package was completed and they sold my loan to a collection company without notice. They lied to me and failed to work with me.

Chase is a fraud, it seeks to profit from the sale of property to collection agencies. Fraud, Fraud, Fraud I hope the burn in *** all of them!

#393633

I am still in the "mortgage re-modification" stage after 2 years! After I was 3 months behind, the Chase law team wrote to me stating that nothing less than full payoff of the remainder of the loan would be accepted.

I too continued sending in repeated information as requested. The most recent occurrence to the process was a proposed "repayment" option, in which they gather all my financial info and come up with a monthly payment to get me current.

The payment was equal to my monthly income, minus $55! Love these guys!

#367994

I can sympathize with you. I am in a holding pattern for months waiting for a refinance.

I am a long time customer(11 years) with Chase and they have my present mortgage. They approached me offering a lower rate to refinance. I have excellent credit and have never been late with payments. Here is the caveat, I have a coop.

The appraiser they sent was not familiar with my area and under appraised my place. I complained when I saw the report. There were several mistakes and inaccurate information. The value should have gone up slightly because I renovated bath and kitchen since last appraisal. My dispute fell on deaf ears.

Like you they keep asking for updated financials because months keep passing.

I just want a firm answer - Yes or No. I am wondering if this is a scam to get application fees on loans they have no intention of approving.

Don't Do The Trial Payments

I did the trial payments and was told my loan payments would be the same at the end. That was a year ago and 8 thousand dollars i would have never gave them. The trial payments don;t count because they said there not full payments so there just ripping you off. Don't waste your money you might need it to move.I have since bought a real nice house in another state for cash and will tell you if your willing to move there are houses out there you can buy for under 20k, No more mortgage *** for me and as far as CHASE GOES they can ---- ---. I would'nt give them a penny, your credit is already ruined and they won;t modify your loan. This is totaly from experience.

I work for a law firm that only sues banks, after reading this post i wanted to tell folk what a ex chase employee reported to me "I felt sorry for most people they thought they were getting a loan mod when all we were doing was collecting trail payments then declining them".

And she ask for my help for a loan mod as she repeatly told i will not make trial payments because afraid of what chase will do.

#277854

That is what I am afraid of. After giving up on a modification with Chase, they are suddenly calling me to start over.

I am being asked to send in documents again and the rep on the phone says he will make it work. Is this for real?

Not sure I want to trust this again. After reading the last post, I see people are still having no luck getting through this.

How much 'interest' did I pay on my Chase Mortgage in 2010?

I'm ready to do my 2010 Taxes when I realize that the amount on my monthly statement dated Dec., 31, 2010 is very different from the amount on the Form 1098 that Chase Bank sent to the IRS by $680 less. I called CHASE and the representative agreed with me but she didn't know why there was such a difference. If I paid the interest in monthly payments, like always, nothing new, then why did Chase report a lesser amount? It will be several days before they find out. I checked some other tax years and this has never happened. I did see more than one article online, but did not save, that said you should balance your mortgage statement each month like you balance your checking statement each month.--MO

Chase bank drug out loan mod, did not negotiate, set up escrow without agreeing to anything!

Here we go again folks....how many of you out there did this: Load mod "application" package submitted via "fax" to a "Bureaucratic centralized (so they say) computer"? Zero communication: Every 30 days would call, no one knew where anything was, always looked into their computer for "notes" someone else "may have left behind". Chase wore me out, got so tired of trying to spell the person's name who I sought help through via the "Loss Mitigation Dept." Fax numbers changed too. Moving target: Chase Bank became a "moving target" and not one agent called me back when asked about "who" had my load pkg.! Customer Care via Loss Mitiagation Dept. are all moving targets when answering the phone. This process became Chase Banks tool to "drag out the mod pkg, process the loan according to Chase's best interest, and then send out a "Global Letter" congratulating everyone! Very scary folks! Black Hole: The package literally fell into a black hole for almost one year! I called and told them to Forget it! Better Business Bureau Take Notice: Received a "Congratulations letter" (put on the brakes immediately), and called the 1 800 not help number. Chase Bank was called asap! Stated that this was "not an acceptable "business practice" and nor was there any opportunity to "negotiate", speak with loan rep. because the memo did not make "$Sense". Chase was told to update the computer system notes and to cancel the whole *** thing. Put the note into the entire global process and to forget it! Months later, nothing happened. Chase wanted "Another Fax" stating my loan mod to be cancelled? Chase, "who do You think you are?" (A wolf in sheeps clothing) Who is looking out after you? Surely not Chase Bank Ceo's, and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac as underwriters! As Consumers , we have absolutely no chance in the "Making Home Affordable" Program! Please, let us have a "Class Action Suit"! Give us a chance as a consumer to "speak with a loan officer, negotiate the loan mod, and for God's sake take action before Chase bleeds anymore people to death! To Date: Chase took it upon themselves to set up an "Escrow" account when the loan mod pkg was "faxed" intially! How could this be? I thought when "applying", no escrow should be taken out because one is "applying" for the loan mod? Some of us pay taxes and insurance separately. Just because one applies, no monies should be set up for anything! ****Now my House payment is "More" per month! Let us band together and hopefully get Chase investigated ASAP!

How does one find a lawyer not afraid to go after Chase. Chase ran me around for over 2 years with this loan mod.

I can't tell you how many times I submitted the loan mod paperwork. I finally gave up and found a buyer on my own for a third of what the property was worth before Chase could put me in forclosure for the second time. Why isn't the govt stepping in to help the homeowner? They keep bailing out Fannie and Freddie, but the folks at the bottom are taking the heat.

You can't convince me millions adn millions of Americans are dead beats. I would love to see all of Chase customers that are left refinance with smaller local banks.

Chase really needs to come down a few notches. Anyone know where I can get a lawyer without feathers or sign up to a good class action lawsuit?

CHASE SUCKS, on 26-05-2011 20:05

I want to sue CHASE on behalf of all former WAMU customers for fraud and theft.Chase is now STEALING former WAMU customers money from their accounts without PERMISSION or SIGNED \"AGREEMENT\". CHASE has simply RENAMED accounts and CHANGED the TERMS of EXISTING accounts and now bound all former WAMU customers to the terms of this new CHASE theft WITHOUT CUSTOMERS PERMISSION OR WRITTEN \"AGREEMENT\".

The one CHASE *** who REFUSES to ABIDE by CHASES OWN RULE BOOK is CHASE employee Jorrod Rodriguez. His email in the CHASE EXECUTIVE OFFICE is jorrod dot rodriguez at chase dot com. He is a THIEF and REFUSES to honor a prior WRITTEN *AGREEMENT*.

HIS view is they dont mean a dammed thing. All you former WAMU customers who have has money STOLEN from your account since Febuary 2011, he is one of many responsible for the THEFT of YOUR PROPERTY (Money).

For all you former WAMU customers who had FREE CHECKING with WAMU, Chase has takenit upon THEMSELVES IN VIOLATION OF THEIR OWN RULES to CHANGE THE TERMS OF CHECKING AGREEMENTS w/o customers consent. Chase purchased WAMU and sent out notices to all former WAMU customers that Chase would keep their accounts as is.

LIE! Chase has somply CHANGED the NAME and TERMS of former WAMU customers free checking account AGREEMENTS and are now STEALING former WAMU customers monet via a new $10 per month checking fee. I have written Chase and used their own rule book and the law against them to prove they are thieves and crooks, and thier response is OUR DECISION STANDS. So people if YOU have ANY WRITTEN AGREEMENT with Chase, tear it up because it means NOTHING, as Chase will change the terms of ANY AGREEMENT THEY CHOOSE AT ANYTIME.

CHASE SUCKS! CHASE ARE THIEVES!!!

#290215

I have played the Chase remodification game for almost three years now. It took them over 18 months to get my first modification completed.

When the sent the paperwork to me the payment was set at 38% of my gross income instead of the required 31%. That raised my payment over $80 per month than the original amount. I refused to sign the modification and have spent the last 14 months trying to get a fair modification.

It looks as if it is impossible. Chase has refused to refigure the HAMP, stating that an outside source figured it for them.

I have tried to resolve this through various organizations, but Chase refused to work with them. I even attempted to get assistance from our State Attorney General and got nowhere.

Just waiting for a foreclosure at this point, or someone to get a class action against this horrible company. Too bad the officers in charge of HAMP are not regulating these rip off banks!

#281325

I feel you. I went through the loan mod with CHASE.

What a complete joke !!! My house payment was 1233.34 that included tax's and insurance. With out tax's and insurance my payment was 1054.00. After jumping through "THE HOPES OF FIRE", they came back with my "NEW PAYMENT AMOUNT." Which was , yes relive it or not "1084.00".

30 bucks more than I started with. It didn't even include my tax's and insurance! ROFLMAF---- What a joke. Then a couple of days later I revived even a new payment of $1268.00.

Yup that's right 34 bucks more than the first payment I started with. Chase bank will mislead you into forecloser to steal your house from you.

The *** lawyers are even to scared to take the mighty cHASE on in court. "WHAT A GREAT COUNTRY WE LIVE'

#278566

Currently, banks are not required to approve any loan modification, but if you want one, you must do the leg work, and demonstrate that you are willing and able to pay.

And if approved, the bank will establish an escrow to ensure that taxes and insurance are being paid.
