Chase Bank in Hazlet, New Jersey - HARP application denied due to Debt Recourse

I am told by my Mortgage banker, Chase, that my mortgage is considered a debt recourse. The bank said that Fannie Mae said so. As a result, my HARP application may not be able to proceed further.. This is very upsetting and disappointing for me, as my property is under the water and could use the refinance through HARP. I bought the condo brand new from a developer in 2007 and have been committing the payments ever since. I talked to a Fannie Mae representative on the phone, she did not say much, except that she insisted for the lender to call Fannie Mae, if Chase has any questions. I am writing to ask for help from anyone who may have some idea on how I can overcome this hurdle. Thanks!

Chase bank

I have had two Chase bank accounts (savings and checking) for about 12 years. I have recently received a letter from them saying that they are closing both accounts. I inquired about the reason behind this move, but they did not provide a satisfactory answer. In fact, the few customer service representatives that I talked to were clueless about what happened. Moreover, they closed my Credit Card Account (Freedom), and when I asked them to send me my cash rewards, they refused to that. I think that they are very unprofessional in dealing with their customers and, to me, they do not care about their customers' satisfaction.

Chase Bank in Concord, New Hampshire - B.Greene-Chase signed Certified Receipt but says they don't have the payment

The first 4-6 months I would send payment in on time no problem. Then all of a sudden the monthly payment went up from $1200.+ a month to $1400.+ a month. Tried to talk to someone about it with no luck. So because I sent the $1200+ they deemed it as insufficient amount did not credit the account and started adding late fees. I fought for months and then gave in to the new amount. Now I have had to send payments through certified mail and July 27th they signed for a $2900 payment. I have the persons name & signature from P.O. but Chase said they did not get it. So..they put my account into 3 months late and just got a threatening letter of foreclosure. They want me to stop payment on the check but it was a bank certified check and the bank wont stop payment for 90 days. Now chase wants me to send them another $2900. How do I do that? Good question. The bank wont cancel check for 90 days so there is $2900 on hold and Chase wants me to send them another $2900 that I dont have so they are threatening foreclosure. I spoke to Kristina Strickland a "supervisor" with my lawyer on August 16th, 2013 and she promised she would call me back by August 20th. Did not get a call back so I tried reaching her through her "personal" extension line and yep..you got it, all I get is a recording. I have tried everything and even with an attorney they dont care. Their banking practices are shady and illegal. It is time for a class action lawsuit against Chase Bank. If you want to get on board email rcm@rcmooneylaw.com and give him contact info. I am going to have him start something for me so I don't loose my house. The more people the better. Lets stop this wrong.

This is a scam too. The federal government and HUD offers FREE help to anyone behind on their mortgage.

You just have to contact the.

In most states, it is the law that when a mortgage company send you the initial NOTICE OF DEFAULT the have to include notices about these free programs. You should NEVER have to pay a fee for this.

Chase Bank in Houston, Texas - Chase Quick Pay is awful

Chase quick pay is hands down the worst thing I have ever had to submit myself to in order to get money. I would much rather give lap dances to *** old men than use chase quick pay to get money. After trying to register my email address several times unsuccessfully I called customer service who instructed me to keep doing that even though it clearly wasn't working. Then they told me they could give me a call in 3-7 days to resolve the issue. We decided we are going to try it with a different email address. We have been waiting a half hour no sign of the email notice even showing up. Seriously I could of driven to my dads house 45 min away from here and back by now. My boyfriend is getting rid of his chase account and we will never speak this awful Satan word in my house again.

Chase Bank in Palmdale, California - CHASE - Their policies leave me speechless!

In April of this year, this girl I know made a deposit into my account using Quickpay. She made the deposit because I had agreed to care for her two children that had been removed from her care by Child Services. The money was to cover the cost of babysitting, diapers, milk, juice, etc. while they were in my care. The money was credited to my account and I used it to purchase the items needed to care for the kids. All was well until... Two months later, in June, this girl decides she's mad at me for making friends with the youngest baby-daddy's mother. Apparently she calls the bank and says she never initiated the deposit, that I must have somehow gotten into her account and authorized the transfer myself! Now I understand that a bank needs to entertain all claims, but wouldn't you think they would contact me and ask what was going on? They didn't. They just took the money back out of my account without talking to me at all! The only reason I found out what was going on is because they froze my online access, which I discovered when I logged on to make a transfer from my savings to my checking. I called the fraud department as directed, and was told there was nothing I could do about it, I would have to "take it up with the other party on my own." I couldn't believe they didn't even care...I understand that they don't "know" me (a middle-aged woman who has never been in trouble with the law) nor do they "know" the other party (a 23 year-old girl with 3 kids by 3 different dads, none of which she has custody of, who is currently on trial for welfare fraud and perjury in the amount of $13k, who was fired from her last job for stealing and who has over $4000 in unpaid traffic violations) but I was their customer - they should have asked me?! They disregarded the fact that two months had passed before the claim was filed, and they disregarded the fact that all she needed to make the transfer was my email address whereas I would have needed account numbers and passwords and God knows what else to make the transfer myself. I asked for a letter explaining why the funds were being removed from my account, but when the letter arrived instead of "person making deposit is claiming fraud and requesting reversal," it said the reason was "error." Then to top things off, they informed me they were going to close my account. The representative said "Anytime there is an issue of suspected fraud, Chase automatically severs the banking relationship." I asked her to send me a letter stating why my account was being closed. I told her I was taking the girl to Small claims court to get the money back, but that I wanted to request punitive damages since I was unable to use to use my account. I never realized what a pain it is to not have a bank account! I've had to purchase money orders for my bills and mail them, I've had to wait for my ex to mail a child support check then pay a fee to cash it, and I haven't been able to purchase anything on line :( Well, I got the letter stating why my account was closed...it says the reason is "either there was unusual activity on my account, or I failed to provide requested information." WTF?! I called customer service and was told "we are only able to send form letters that have been approved by our legal department." During my 12 different telephone calls and my 6 trips to the branch, eight different reps told me I have been accused of "fraud" but NOBODY will put it in writing! Amazing. One of the reps told me she was looking for another job because she was so frustrated by Chase's "policies."

Number one why?Are you putting this person's business in the street like you are? This is no one's business about her kid's.Two this is why Chase has a fraud department for people like yourself. It is CHASE responsibility to make sure each account is secure.Who can testify that you did not take this person's money out of her account by fraud after all,All a person need's is the other person's information and Go online to make the withdraw from another person's account.Your mention of why? This person is upset is very weak.I for one do not believe your story. And as far as a rep.Stating to you they were looking for another job.It is probably not because of Chases Policies,It probably is because they are going to be terminated.Since you made friends with one of the kid's grandmother,Why?Do you still have that child.Could it be fraud on your behalf?Just asking.Sounds like you and Grandma is doing some planning yourselves.

In a way you got yourself into this mess. I would never agree to take care of somebody's kids that were removed by Child Services.

You might know there is trouble there, and especially when they all have different Dad's. In a case like that there is always a chance that you will come out on the loosing end of things.

Chase Bank in Fairport, New York - President/CEO DK Sales, inc

I have all the right stuff on a jumbo loan and I mean a strong file. Chase in the final days before close says the comparables in the area we are not finding. are you kidding me! 100' of lake frontage, beautiful home with a individual (myself) that I mean everything. this is not a bank! run like *** all you high income earners and those who are not. No one at CHASE has balls to make a decision. All pupetts who have no clue of what the value is in area's of Wisconsin. find a local bank and work with them as i did in the final hours. 3 other banks approved my loan in a matter of hours and loved the appraisel by the way as it was well over a 25% equitty position. my broker stuck it out with chase so he could try and make a buck. It backfired and it cost me a half point as rates went from a lock to chaos. all you brokers beware this company is running with fear and corporate pinheads that couldn't manage to tie their own shoes.

We are also in the similar situation with Chase. We applied for loan, locked the rate, decided on the close date and 2 days before the decided close date they said that they are not ready to close and yet need to request appraisal.

Yes, 2 days before the close date they requested for appraisal, this is usually done 2 weeks prior to close date. So of course we missed the first closing date. Before the next closing date, again a day before they said our interest rate is not locked in their system. Are you kidding me??

We have emails indicating they have locked the interest rate but their representative says, " My apologies' what the ....? Who needs his apology? the interest rate has increased by more than 0.5 % than what we got originally locked with them and yet there is no responsibility taken from their side.

The upper management has no clue how t react so instead they decide not to react/respond at all. Very very unprofessional and unethical people to work with!!

Chase Bank in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Chase loan modification is a joke!

After losing my job, I tries to keep up payments. But to no avail. I contacted Chase Home Loans which is the bank holding the mortgage. After filling out 6 different sets if paperwork, & giving them all my info 5 times, not including faxes, they kept switching specialists in me, they sent conflicting information, acted confused when I called, told me I was eligible in one letter & ineligible in the next. Transferred me to a different UC program, told me I was eligible & ineligible in the same week. After playing their game for over 6 months, I was 3 months behind on the mortgage. The house needed to much work to sell, but I received a low ball offer on it which I was forced to take. I will most likely owe more than I get on it. Upon requesting a payoff statement, I needed to get it extended because the closing would be over the holiday, they played games & told me I couldn't get it in time. I explained I already had a payoff statement, it just needed extended by a few days, they procrastinated & forced me to extend the closing date to the buyer. Which may Caz another default, & could not get the sale to go through because they wouldn't give the settlement company the clearance even though I had a conference call confirming it & to release the information to them so I could close. These banks, WANT to foreclose on peoples homes. They have no intention of releasing funds or helping people in this situation. Obama is giving the banks more money to help us, & the banks arr using it to further take advantage & cause mote stress to the less fortunate. It is nothing more than a big game & a joke. Obama, please save my taxpayer dollars, & DON'T give it to the banks in hopes that they will use it for what it was intended for. What a big scam & a lie to the taxpayers. This program is nothing more than legalized theft.

Chase Bank in Tampa, Florida - Quick Pay

No way to email them;no 'contact' information available and no MONEY!! They have done NOTHING like the application said - Chase said 2-3 days...its been 4 now and there is no access to them. I thought it would be a one time thing but its so stressful to have such a huge company with NO online access!!! I have tried for hours to find an online contact site with no luck. I have waited their time frame and I'm still waiting. With no recourse. I depend on receiving this payment! When will it be there? Where can I go? How much stress do I have to put up with?

Chase Bank in Phoenix, Arizona - Poor customer service

Terrible customer service!!! They just don't care to help at all. I have held a chase card for years and have been on automatic payments. Well someone hijacked my card and tried to make some charges, so they canceled my card and issued a new one. Great, but here is where the trouble begins. My automatic payement were being rejected by Chase because of the new card. I had no idea that they were not accepting my payments until my card stopped working. Called Chase and found out what had happen, so I paid the balance in full the same day over the phone. I found out that they put a 30 day late on my credit score. I called Chase and asked for help getting it corrected. They said they would not. Have proof from my bank that payments were made but rejected. They problably can see from thier side payments were rejected. Have letter from Chase saying how sorry they were about my card being hijacked, but there is no mention of the need to adjust automatic payments. Called chase again with all the documentation but was still told that they no would not help. This is just crazy!!! Full paper and electronic trail and they won't help. I was with them for years and this is how they treat me. Legalistic dopes. I recommend you never go with Chase.
