Chase Bank - Mortgage Review from Norwalk, Connecticut
My modification attempt went like this: I waited 8 months for a decision and was told, the entire time, that no payment is necessary until modification is complete. Then, one beautiful day, I received a letter telling me that my modification was denied and I know owe all 8 months payments plus late fees. I am less than excited that this is the outcome of my VA loan. I'm not asking for a handout, I just want to be able to keep a roof over my family. I have paid close to $1500 a month for 3 months now. My loan was for $150,000 for 30 yrs. What really *** me off is that Chase advertising is all about supporting Veterans. I guess they just want to support the good ones. Needless to say, this has caused me to fall behind on all my loans. I guess this is the American way now.

Website problems
For months now I have been unable to access my 3 credit card and my mortgage accounts. I have to do a song and dance just to get into see any of this. This has been going on for many months now. I have called time and again to have this fixed. They fix it so for perhaps 1 day I am able to log in and then once again it starts. Today I try again and get this same message that my computer cannot be recognized. I call them and get the run around. I talk to 7 different people. This is outrageous for this to happen. All I want to do is check my accounts. This does not happen with any of my other financial institutions. As I write this I am now being transferred once again to internet services. Back to where I was when that person asked me to hold for 2 minutes while he checked on something and never came back. I guess he disappeared into the black hole. Now they say something about the browser not having the cookies. Wouldn't this be something I would find to be the same with all my other accounts? Only with Chase do I have this problem. RAY RUIZ, SAN ANTONIO TX, ONLINE TECH SUPPORT was the last person I spoke with who insisted this is a Google Chrome browser issue. I finally got off phone call which lasted for approximately 1 hour. What a waste of my time. I am seriously thinking of cancelling my credit cards and going elsewhere for my mortgage.

Chase bank gave away my money from my chacking account. $10,800. The bank issued a new ATM card to someone claiming to be me. This imposter then made 2 withdrawals, one for 7k and another at another branch for 3,800. I filed a police report and reported it to their fraud dept. It has been 19 days and I have not received a phone call from them. I was told 30 days to process. Process what? This happened 2 days before Christmas. Chase has terrible customer service. The mgr. At my local branch apologized, but still wanted $1,900. For checks I had outstanding. I will wait the remaining days and pray that Chase makes this right. If not, I will be protesting in front of my local branch like a fool. I will get back with more news after the 30 days.

Chase Bank - Account Review from Miramar, Florida
For the last couple weeks I have been over drafted in my account my total charges wer $52.99 and I have accumulated in fees alone $150 I asked chase to please help me and cancel the account so no more transaction keep coming or I won't be able to pay it back as soon as I told them I would which was Jan 11 they said that's not possible that I need to speak with the other party and cancel my authorization with them. I was so close to paying what I actually spent back and they added fees for small utility bills of $10 I called again and asked how I can cancel the account I can't pay back this is an old account she said you can't close your account until you pay chase back that is crazy what if I just want to pay you in installments and cancel my banking she said I can't do that and that transactions can keep going through even though am already severely over drafted mainly because of their fees am crying right now writing this because I can't believe that the bank that I've had for so many years refuses to close my account so I can catch up with the overdrafts I have so far and at their lack of understanding that the holidays is a tough time for some people. I really wish to pay only what I have spent which has been bills and not the $150 in over drafts fees that chase has charged me for the small reoccurring utility payments that happened.

I went into the bank there was not a sign in sheet and nobody even acknowledges that you are even there. After waiting for 1/2 hour I was told it was to late in the day to open accounts. I told the guy ok I will go to Wells Fargo and he replied ok. Worst service I have ever seen. Another couple that had been in the little cubicle came out saying they were also told to late in the day to open an account. Seems like they don't really don't want any business at this bank.

Chase Bank - Account Review from Tucson, Arizona
I've been trying to enroll for quick pay (thank goodness I did not after reading all these comments). Thanks to the difficult process enrolling (it states on the website that you have to have a personal computer to enroll- there was no mention of this in any of their commercials ) there was no way to do it effectively. Their advertising is deceptive - and after trying to enroll for the past half an hour, I contacted customer service- and only to be told you have to use a desktop computer to complete the enrollment process. Telling them I don't have a personal desktop, I was told to go use a friends computer! Using someone elses computer? That defeats the purpose of even going through Quickpay, even after going through their two stage process to log onto my personal Chase account! Quickpay is NOT convenient as the portray it on commercials, and they should be sued for deceptive advertising.

Nightmare to view my existing card activity on line and on the app -avoid Chase
I tried to access my chase credit card activity via my smartphone app. It did not let me...told me I have to reset my password! That is when the problem started and I had to spend 1.5 hrs with 4 or 5 reps on the phone. In the first place I was confused when I heard my activity on the phone. The numbers I got did not correspond to what I had paid the last time via automatic payments. I needed someone to to tell me where to look at another months acct to figure out what that months payment was. Never seen something like this. Bu worse, trying to get in my on-line acct took 3 people that made various attempts and mistakes that kept me out of on-line and out of the app. After an hour and 20 minutes of not being able to reset anything I was put in touch with a "supervisor". By then I was really upset. It all started with trying to clarify the difference between my statement balance(written by them) vs what I was charged in December on my Chase app. A difference of no less than $500. Usually a 30 seconds job. She solved my problem but was extremely arrogant and kept telling me I am not letting her help me and speak even when I was asking a question and pausing for the answer she was silent and told me I specifically need to tell her when she can speak. She did that repeatedly, trying to blame me for what I was going through...and things did no go very well right away...Of course at the end she did not even had a nice word for me and said she cannot compensate a customer for their problems...this was their internet security in action...Avoid them if you can

- Attitude of supervisor
- Customer rep knowledge

Changing a $500 Bill
I went to a Chase ATM and got out $50, paying a $3 service fee (I do not bank with Chase). I went into the bank and asked to change it for 5 tens. They wouldn't do it because my bank wasn't Chase. I've never been asked for proof of my account when getting change at my own bank. This also highlights how silly a $3 fee is. In the age of electronic banking you'd think there should be Congressional hearings on these amounts.

WORST BANK EVER CREATED
In a vague attempt to make their banking experience "secure" Chase has managed to make it impossible to use their services. Good luck getting through to a human being when calling customer service, I so far tried every possible avenue to talk to someone from there, with no results (I have been calling since 9:00 this morning, it is now 10:51, and still no luck). Their so called security checks are just a way to lull customers into a false sense of security when using their accounts, which is false. It is a flawed bank, with flawed website and incompetent staff. Save yourself the trouble, and go somewhere else, anywhere else really.

The Fort Lee, NJ Mgr is totally unhelpful.
I have been with this branch for 7 years, everytime I go there, which is at least once a week, they ask me to show ID and my cash card, I don't understand, they are totally unhelpful, they don't seem to know anything and when I go to another Chase branch for the same reason, they are helpful and do everything I want. Why is that?? Maybe they need to change the Mgr there?? She is a total ***. She looks at you you like she is thinking about an answer, with a total lost look. I think she doesn't know the answer and does not want to get in trouble and says no I can't do it. Please replace her.

So everyone knows by now they have an ID requirement to withdraw or deposit cash and you can't even have a family member deposit cash for you in an emergency. I've been using my ATM card as the ID, swipe it, enter the pin and that's it. Today - that didn't happen, swipe once it doesn't work, swipe again, nothing, try to swipe a third time and teller says they've been having a problem with "these" ATM cards. Ask if she can enter the numbers manually she says no, then she says "I guess the card was cancelled". Tried to ask when was it cancelled, was I supposed to get another one and got a bunch of blank looks and I don't know responses. Couldn't do my banking because I need ID, pointed out I had ID and they just kept saying well it's cancelled. I didn't cancel it, nobody notified me it was or would be cancelled, teller and manager had no solution, couldn't offer a new card. Basically just shrugged their shoulders and said too bad. I closed the account. I'd been planning to anyway, knowing if I was sick my family couldn't get cash for me plus the pathetic interest rate compared to other banks is the reason. But this today was the last straw - what if I needed ATM cash when they were closed? Oh well, cards cancelled for no reason sorry we didn't tell you. And standing in front of them with no help or replacement card offered? That's the ned.........Bye Chase.
