Credit Line Review

Chase cut my credit line on my Visa card to zero. This happened 15 days before Christmas. I have never missed a payment in over 15 years. Their excuse is that I owe money to Bank of America. She told me that they don't deal with people having financial hardships. Thanks Chase!

Chase Bank in Provo, Utah - Chase lost my records?!

1.0
Details
I spoke with two representatives of Chase over the phone today to talk about my credit card application. Both were completely rude and incompetent - terrible customer service. I tried to be really nice because I work at a call center and I know how hard it is to work with frustrated customers. They told me they could not find any records of my application at all, even though I had discussed my application with Chase representatives over the phone and in person three times before. I have perfect credit, but I would not have even been mad if they had at least sent me a letter to tell me I had been declined. I am just frustrated that they were so disorganized and rude, and never gave me an approval or decline! They LOST?! my application?

Chase Bank - Overdraft Fee Review from California, United States

Most manipulating, scam of a bank I've ever worked with. $35 overdraft fee for going 0.33 cents over $5 limit?? Are you kidding me?? They also intentionally fail to notify you sometimes that you were overdrawn AND that they ripped you off $35, so hopefully you won't notice and make another transaction, that way they can charge you another $35 fee. Done getting screwed over. This bank has taken hundreds of dollars from me and I cannot WAIT for the day a successful lawsuit goes through.

Chase Bank - Loan Review from Pontiac, Michigan

1.0
Details
My wife applied for a mortgage. We gave any documents the loan officer required. Getting ready to close next week. Surprise, the loan officer announces that the bank requires a Verification of Employment. Her employer stated that she is a temporary, non-career; which is true. All employees start out this way. She averages 60 hours per week and has been employed since June 2012. It is not the VOE that is required, but the fact that the loan officer sprung this on her so late in the process. If we would have known this from day one, we would not have proceeded and saved $1000 in fees. We have not lost the house yet, but it is expected after the underwriter review. The realtor who uses him (the loan officer) all the time said he works miracles. We will see!!!

Chase bank customer service amazon rewards card

1.0
Details
November 2014 we opened an Amazon rewards chase account. After a few days of us using it, our account was cancelled due to suspicious activity. We immeadiately called chase customer service where we were then told that they were unable to access our account and that a member of the fraud team would be contacting us. A week has gone by and stil no call. We then call back... 5 different times. Still no one knows what is going on in any department in their customer service center. No call back, no letter from chase, nothing. We are left in the dark and they are explaining nothing to us and doing nothing for us or to help the situation.

Chase Bank in Portland, Oregon - We are caught in a game called A Pack of Lies

1.0
Details
Same game here. They bought our mortgage from our lender before we were in pre foreclosure. We received letter after letter telling us how much they wanted to help us. We did the re-fi/ modification thing. ALWAYS missing this doc or that doc...documents we had provided over and over. Our numbers were in line, etc. Then they denied our modification package after playing their game for over 4 months. I call the day after receiving the denial letter. She says "we will have to re-apply and that she would send me a new application, one that could not be downloaded from the chase site as it is a "new" program. We wait. No application. And wait. We call. They apologize and promise to re-send the packet they claim they sent (we have lived at the same address for 37 years, I doubt it was a postal error). We finally receive the packet and it is identical to the original. We do it all over again but now they have scheduled a sheriff sale. We hurry and fax it, call to find out hey didn't receive it. Fax it again and a third time only to be told they got it too late to stop the sale. THEY purchased our home at the sheriff sale. Now what the *** do we do!!!

Chase Bank in Bloomington, Illinois - Unwilling to cash their OWN check?!

1.0
Details
In the past I could go to any branch of the bank where the check was drawn from to get it cashed. Today I took a check issued by JP Morgan/Chase Bank from my utility company (Nicor Gas) for $54.00 to a local branch. I was told by both the teller & the manager that since I didn't have an account, they couldn't cash THEIR OWN FREAK'N CHECK!! (not even for a fee?!) What a crock! I bank online and have no other easy way to get my 54 bucks! Won't be doing ANY business with them in the future, if I can help it.

Chase Bank in Phoenix, Arizona - Chase pillaged my 7yr old daugthers $300 savings through $20/month fees

My wife went into open a basic savings account for our 7yr old daugther. We are not of means and this was to be her first account for birthday money and other modest savings. My wife opened the account with $300 at our local branch on 7th and Bell in Phoenix, AZ. Rather than opening a regular Chase Savings with no service fees, the agent sold her the Plus Savings which requires a $15,000 balance to avoid the $20 service fees. Facts, which were not told to her at the time. The representative also signed her up for paperless statements, so we wouldn't see it on a monthly basis. My wife and I bear some responsibility in not checking on the account, but what's clear is that the Chase local representative upsold the account to get the $50 commission for doing so. When we reported this to the local branch, they only refunded us the past 2 months of fees, even though they had been widdling away at this account for two plus years. They even acknowledged that this has happened before as represtantatives come and go and that it's not uncommon as the commission provides the incentive for doing so. After several weeks of trying to speak to someone who cares and will acknowledge the unetical nature of offering commissions for upselling accounts that don't fit the customer and their finances, I'm giving up. I am moving to a fee-less bank and will never do business with Chase again. Word to the wise, be careful when opening accounts, read every detail and don't trust what they're telling you.

Don't feel so bad. Chase bank purchased our mortgage from another lender, turned it into a home equity line of credit instead of a conventional mortgage, and then stole the property from us!

We had 2 rental properties that were financed with the same bank. Chase bank purchased both mortgages and turned them both into home equity lines of credit. Originally, we refinanced both mortgages on the same exact day, for the same exact amount of money, and at the same exact interest rate. This all changed after Chase bank purchased the mortgages.

We always sent 2 checks for payment (one for each mortgage) for many years and all of a sudden Chase bank is telling us that we haven't made a payment on one of the properties in over 6 months! How is it that they receive both checks but only apply one of them? What happens to the other check? They claim to not know either.

Instead of sitting down with us to work this out they put the property in foreclosure, added thousands of dollars in fees to make sure we wouldn't be able to afford to get the property back, and then they finalized the foreclosure.

Basically they STOLE our property! After doing a little bit of searching online we are finding that they did this same exact thing to numerous other people!
