Chase Bank - Mortgage Review from Huntsville, Alabama

We have our mortgage with Chase. An insurance company that we did not have or authorize was able to bill and receive an insurance payment out of our escrow account. We only found out because we received a check from this insurance company reimbursing us for the amount they took out. This was April 1st. Our actual insurance will be taken out on April 4th. After 2 hours on the phone with several different people, they still could not take a payment from us to go to our escrow account so the insurance company would get paid on the 4th. At one end point we were transferred to a woman who would not stop talking long enough for us to explain what we needed. The mortgage is only in my husband's name so they would not talk to me. Even when we had this lady on speaker phone and my husband asked for her to talk to me so I could explain what we needed, she still would not listen or speak to me. She got an attitude with us. We finally just hung up and called our insurance company and just paid them directly. Chase mortgage customer service is not helpful at all. After being transferred several times it was obvious no one had a clue on how to help us. 2 hours of our life wasted.

Chase Bank in New York, New York - You feel like you're being hustled.

We've tried to transfer money out of a non-performing annuity (which represents more really bad advice from Chase), and the runaround we get is unbelievable. It's like working with small-town cons rather than bankers. Of course no one has stolen anything--we'll get our money eventually--but this bank is slowly wrecking its reputation. A year ago, someone not named Bernie Madoff was sort of promising a 12 per cent return. You feel that no one at our branch is capable of giving a straight answer. All in all, if we had it to do over again when we moved to New York, we’d bank someplace else.

Chase Bank in Honolulu, Hawaii - Forced placed hurricane insurance with no notice- Horrible Customer Service

We receive the same notice every year to provide proof of wind coverage, which I have. This year we received the same notice for "Wind Coverage". Just like past years, I asked our insurance carrier to fax over our policy. Two months later, an outrageously expensive forced Hurricane policy was placed on our account back dated 3 months. Chase never informed us we needed to purchase Hurricane insurance, and even though I purchased a policy when I called and found out "verbally" that hurricane was now required, Chase will not remove the charges from our escrow account. Our mortgage went up $300.00 a month. Chase mortgage is horrible, and their customer service agents sound like prison inmates. They are horribly rude. Never use Chase. They suck!

I went to use the card the other day. It was declined. I was told because of inactivity. Last time card was used was March of 2015. I tried to use it at the end of March 2015. Never notified me that card was not going to be reissued. I have a fico score of over 860. I really do not need their card. I use it mostly on Amazon. Their loss. Except the rip off artists keep may $6.37 in reward points. I guess they need the income. Their customer service supervisor was very rude. I would never consider their card again and will now look somewhere else to purchase instead of Amazon. So much for customer service. I guess they rather give cards to low fico scores, that way they can make more money from late payments and a very high interest rate.

said he had a fico score of 860; top score is 850. maybe he confused his fico score with his fido score. Bow wow.

Chase Bank - Deposit Review from Westland, Michigan

Although I don't have an account with Chase, my daughter-in-law does. A couple of weeks ago , I tried to deposit 50.00 into her account, (because she needed gas to get home and was at a gas station) the teller told me since I wasn't on her account, I couldn't deposit it. I told him the situation and was again told of your policy. He also stated this policy had been in effect since 2014, which was not true at this location because I had been depositing money every month into her account for my half of insurance up until this time. I can appreciate any company policy but they are times that an exception could be made.

Details
Chase apparently does weekly maintenance every Sunday, so you're out of luck if you want to make an online transaction such as bill pay, transfers and even signing in to your account on the weekend. They've even gone as far as to shut down their message center so that you can't send them feedback or ask a question. I have never encountered a bank that literally shuts down services to their customers because they just feel like it. You're literally screwed every Sunday and I think that someone needs to look into why they are blocking services once a week to their entire customer base.

I had put a check on hold but chase put a wrong check number on the hold request and because of the banks mistake the check passed despite the hold on it. I called to dispute and they gave a credit but after some days the bank charged back the amount to my account. Worst customer service, when I called to get an explanation for this the representative hung up on me. Ronald Patrick

Think that's bad?,.. Chase in Longview deposited my fed tax electronic refund check into the wrong checking account. Funny how those "nice" people at Chase that wanted our business, can all of a sudden become "junior" lawyers and give you excuse after excuse why they can't return my money that THEY placed into someone else's acct!
