Chase closed my business account without warning and has not provided a check for my money.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Chase closed a small business account that was open for almost 20 years without warning or reason. One day the money was unavailable, at the end of the month when bills are due. Chase provided no reason other than they decided to close it. There was no fraud, no returned our bounced checks, and never less than a $10,000 balance in the account. It has been a month now, and they have still not provided a check for the $11,000 that was in the account. They are holding my money hostage.

Chase Bank Leasing is a NIGHTMARE!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Dealing with Chase Leasing and Chase Bank for my lease has been a nightmare. I spent an hour and a half being bounced back and forth between Chase Leasing and Chase Bank to find out what happened to a refund they owe me. They charged me for VA Property Tax a year after I moved to MI. I tried to tell them it was wrong, but I was told to pay it. Now, I am getting the run around. Leasing says they can't do anything, it's the bank that has to do it. The Bank says they can't do anything, Leasing has to do it. Chase Leasing and their lousy website have made life miserable for me during this lease. I love the car, but will NEVER, EVER lease through Chase again.

800 number blues !!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been with Chase Private banking for over 20 years, I have started to look for a new bank. Something has changed at Chase corporate profits seem to have taken over, and Customers are now just a # ....Examples : 1) Walked in to the bank , and asked what the rates for a new BMW I bought , and the banker hands me a 1-800 number, and I start talking to someone from out of the USA....that is reading from a script. 2) The Virus is mostly over in Ohio , but my Branch is still out of business I had a question and tried to call the branch for 2 weeks (25 times min) and kept getting transferred to a call center... again to someone that know nothing of about me , or anything about my questions. I finally brave it and go in my self , to see why no one is answering my calls, there is a Branch manager , and 2 overworked tellers in a Branch that use to have 8 employee's. After a LONG wait I got the answer to one question, and found out on question 2 that the my Bank no longer offers home equity loans ?? 3) my online account has a Flag for alerts, that 90% of the time Chase sales Idea's, that the online people tel me you can't turn off. So I will keep running the risk of missing a real alert because of all the sales crap. So in short I have started looking for a bank, that has bankers that you can talk to and who actually cares about me as a customer, and has services I want when I want them .... If Chase management bothers to read this know that I am just one voice that took the time to tell you because of my 20 year history there are probably 1000,s more thinking the same......My kids could have used you next....but they have the net they can get your 800 # there I guess.....as for this # I am moving on.....your bank has moved away from me after all these years. Do not get it awful customer service, and side with scammers. I had this card, and it was really nice until I had to file a dispute a few months ago, and it's been nothing but a nightmare Since then. I was taken for $177 from a vender, and chase did nothing to get my money back I'm thinking it's because they could not reach the vender. This was a lousy experience so I paid off the balance, and shut them down never again will I go back, and as a warning do not expect good customer service from them they act like they care but they are just there to collect your hard earned money stop giving it to them.

Poor Service and Poor Response to Credit Card Complaint

We filed complaints and disputes on 2 transactions. One of which we order 500 sq feet of tile, paid for it. The product was delivered with 440 sq ft. The merchant would agreed to send us the product but never did, and never refunded. We filed our complaint to Chase provided the order, receipt, and packing slip- along with the text messages from the merchant. Chase DID NOTHING. they sided with the Merchant???? How can that even be possible that you could order something and not get what you paid for and Chase whom Ive been a customer with for years did absolutely nothing. And when you call, you get ahold of a call center overseas whom cannot help at all. Ridiculous what this company has become.

Chase Bank / AARP cancelled my credit card because my husband passed away and he was primary on the cardwas the primary !

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I called Chase Bank to have my husband's name removed from the bill I he passed away in February. They told me they would have to cancel the credit card because he was listed as primary on the account. We have had this account for many years and I have paid on time every month. Needless to say I'm very upset about the way I was treated. They canceled my account and I have gone with another credit card company. I have an excellent credit rating and will be relaying this story to many people . I will also let AARP know how disgusted I am with Chase Bank.

Were you really treated bad or was it they didn't do what you wanted? C'mon....What do you want them to do?

You told them the person who they had the contract with passed away. That means the contract is over. It's that simple. Your relaying this story means nothing and could serve as a warning to people who want to take their spouse's name off of accounts.

Expect the same thing with utilities and such. OK...say it...."you must work for (insert company)."

Closed account after 3 days. Won't give me money.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I opened a supposedly new account at Chase Bank on July 24, after I was told there was an old charge off. So I paid it and banker Velez says we're good to go. So I deposited a grand in the account. When I tried to sign in online they say the account was suspended on the 27th, yet won't say why. Banker Velez says to call fraud, fraud says nothing they can do. So I go in to get my money today and am told they will send me a check. In 10 days. 10 days from what? None of this bunch cares to answer. And when I get the check I suppose they won't cash it. I won't ever deal with this one again. In fact JP Morgan, BofA, and Wells Fargo are the three biggest bunch of thieves on the planet.

LOL...You sound like a fool. A "grand" c'mon mate.

Act like you're talking business with adults. That said, how would anyone know the other banks are bad? The only person who would make such a statement is a fool who has had self-created problems with said bank. Why do you think a bank would take your "grand" and later tell you to hit the bricks?

They looked you up and decided not to do business with you. There's always a pre-paid card mate...

Lets see, where do I start? Lets start with I have 4 accounts with Chase for 20 years. 2 business , one credit card for business. @ personal, one CC for personal. They cost me my PPP loan. They left me in the cue and never did anything. I was there since the beginning. I had fraud right after COVID-19 hit. I then thought I had a fraudulent claim and of course there was ) customer service help so I sent an email in secure messages. The next day I emailed them to confirm I did know the purchase and it was valid. The reversed the claim told me thank you for clarifying and that was the end of the email. Cut to almost 2 1/2 weeks later on a sunday at 7pm PST I get an email that my "new debit/prepaid card" is on its way at my request. I never requested anything. I just got a new card a little over a month ago because of fraud and we discussed sending me a new card. The email says , if you didn't request this card contact chase IMMEDIATELY. The then proceeded to cancel my debit card and now I have ) ability to access my funds, I have no idea when this card is coming, NOTHING!Well, not one damn phone number anywhere for any human. They tell you to go online and contact another email. Its insane. I get it, COVID hit businesses hard but chase is failing all over the place. I then called the next morning to clear this up, was sent to 3 different customer service . Guess what, still on hold and hour and 20 minutes later. Absolutely ridiculous!!

Resolved: Customer service, wrong account, direct deposit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user May 09, 2020

The account moved forward quickly AFTER the complaint was filed. Chase still did not acknowledge any wrong doing but I was finally able to contact someone above an account supervisor once the complaint was sent.

I appreciate the help. Without this system, the issue would not have been resolved

Original review Mar 24, 2020
I opened an account online and printed the direct deposit form. On that form, I was given an account number and routing number only to find out later that it was not my account or routing number. My deposit was made and went to that account. I went to a branch that day and the banker seemed to resolve the issue saying that I should have my funds rerouted within 48 hours. When I went to the bank, the funds were in that account, it showed my name as the person the deposit was written to and my employer as the depositor. Four days later I called and asked when my funds would be returned. The informed me that they had not even started the process. I called back the following day and they said that the funds could not be rerouted because they were no longer in the account and there was nothing they could do. After several calls and explaining that they gave me the account number where the funds were deposited and that their delay in handling the claim allowed the account holder to steal funds, I was told sorry. I could file a complaint and hope that the person gains some morals and returns the funds so we can take them out at that point. There was no acknowledgement from the bank whatsoever that they made any errors. They are not concerned that I was able to print out someone else's account information at all. Three weeks have gone by and I am calling routinely, no responsibility has been taken at all from them. I actually listened to 2 department managers argue over who's department was at fault and who could take blame in order to process a claim. Neither department took any blame and therefore, no claim will be made. All my "secure messages" concerning this matter have since been deleted from my accounts page. I will be searching for every phone and email contact I can find to make sure someone hears about it. I may never get my money but I refuse to stop fighting for it.

Cancellation of credit cards

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have a personal Chase cred card which was issued to me about a year ago. I also have a business credit card from Chase through my employer. Recently both of my cards were cancelled. I called the Chase customer service to inquire about cancellation. According to a Chase credit specialist, my cards were cancelled due to too many credit inquiry. In time of current pandemic, is it uncommon to shore up source of viable credits? Every company is struggling to forecast their financial future. As a COO of small company, I wanted to beef up my options if necessary. We have not abuse the credit card usage or delinquent in our payment. Aggregating the credit capacity was a contingency plan. A gentleman who I spoke over the phone representing Chase credit department repeated same statement over as if he was a broken recorder. He also told me that he was the supervising person who makes final decision. When I questioned his credential as a financial expert in credit lending, he became an *** and hung up on me. I don't have any unreasonable expectations from a credit card companies. I do know what they are, but even for a credit company, isn't it bit overboard to drop their customers like a hot potato in times of pandemic without any good reason? Our company has been in business for last 20 years with outstanding reputation in our community. we do not have any financial delinquencies. I have fico score of 765 with no financial delinquencies in my credit record. Chase did not caused no financial damage to me personally, or to our company. but what if we were in difficult situation due to pandemic?

"if he was a broken recorder" Pro Tip: The reason for this is because the decision has been made. This person has better things to do than engage you and entertain your witless prattle.

You get a second to make your lame argument or ask for the magic manager and then you're told the same thing again. This means it's over and you're done. Once you go off track as you did, you get to speak to the silent manager. No reason to waste more time on original content with someone they've cut adrift.

What kind of COO are you that can't accept a business decision and move on? Worst yet, what kind of person who pulls the COVID card doesn't have the self-awareness to admit they had their feeling hurt? A lame one who can't accept your credentials means nothing to them.

Move on... Oh...Say it...."You must work for them."
