I guess you can get too big as an institution. Meaning, Chase Bank is unable to continue to scale while maintaining sliver of a service oriented culture. I called today about a simple servicing issue (should have taken 5 minutes), but was unnecessarily held captive...

I've been with Chase for a long time but I'm sick of all the fees. They hit me with fees when my direct deposit is under their minimum level, and then they'll put my debits in before my deposits on the same day to charge me more fees, and then fees to use my savings...

I have they same problem with Chase's Claim Dept. (supposedly this guy Brian is the supervisor) He is rude disrespectful a bully and it seems like I always get handed over to him tho Ive specified before hand that I do not want to talk with him.

He has no communication skills. Further more he would not give me his last name. Well I guess thats modern banking practice, because use to your know the first and last name of the tellers or bankers.

I mean they know all the customers information. If thats not bad enough, just try to find out how to contact filing a complaint on a Chase Employee.

Poor Business Practices | Chase Bank review from Lapeer, Michigan

I've been a Chase customer over 20 years, as have several members of my family. I have personal and business accounts with Chase. We have overdraft protection for our checking account linked to our credit card. It helps me to know I will never bounce a check accidentally or due to math error. This system has worked effectively for us for many years. Chase has discontinued this process and now will only overdraft from a savings account. They say this is for customer benefit/convenience, only it is extremely inconvenient for me. Chase should recognize that customer service is key to keeping account holders in the competetive world of banking. I am changing to PNC.

Don't feel like they want our business anymore | Chase Bank review from Howell, Michigan

We have been with Chase for over 10 years. When doing the 3rd five year increment of a commercial loan the bank made us jump through so many hoops. Even after all the jumping, 6 months later the loan still hasn't been closed. After the second time of Chase asking for the same information we already sent over we decided to get funding elsewhere. In less then 2 weeks we are able to close on the loan with a different bank. We are now waiting again for Chase to get us a pay off letter which I spent 45 minutes on the phone getting no where. I was sent back to my branch manager (Chris in Howell,Michigan) which is where my phone call started from. He said he would make a call and let me know when I can pick it up for he is unable to email to me. I did tell him I am able to close on my loan on Tuesday, (to days is Friday) but I need the pay off letter. I am going on four hours with no call from any of the three people I called this morning. I was hoping to get something out of one of the three. I'm not sure what's going on with this bank but I don't get the service I once did. I also have to mention that with all this going on I got a call from my grand-daughter that Chase bank deposited $14,000 into her account which was not hers. She is 15 years old and was like wow. We told her not to do anything with it and wait to see if Chase would catch their mistake. They did not so she went to the bank and told them. Like I said I don't know what's going on with this bank but it's not good.

Bank at Chase and get treated like a criminal | Chase Bank review from Bronx, New York

I wanted to transfer money between two of my accounts. Chase Bank verified that I am the owner of the account that the money is to go to. The accounts were linked, and I set up the transfer on the website. I get an email the next morning that the transfer was cancelled. I try to log in to my account, but my access is blocked. I call and end up with the fraud department. What is fraudulent about moving money between my own linked accounts?! I was told that I had to go to the bank with two IDs. I go. The banker calls the fraud department, and even after giving them her credentials, they insisted on verifying her identity by calling her back. They do. She explains that it is my account and that I am making the transfer. After a lengthy conversation with the fraud department, she tells me that they are adding notes to the account so that this should not be a problem. I go home and make the online transfer again. Then the fraud department calls asking for a verification of who I am. The automated system starts by asking for my zip code. As I try to enter it, the call drops. I call them back. They refuse to provide me with any information, and tell me that I need to go to the bank with two forms of ID. I explained that I did earlier that day, and that there are notes to verify that and what has happened. I ask them, why don't you call me back on the phone number on the account? I am told that they cannot. Strange, as that was the number they called minutes earlier. It is also the number that they used to send text alerts to me. It just gets worse from there. Why does Chase treat its own customers like criminals? Why is the fraud department even involved as the target account has been verified by Chase as my own? Why is Chase blocking me from accessing my own money?
