Chase Bank in Reston, Virginia - Beware of Chase cards

Chase sent out notices informing customers of their new "fees". Didn't pay much attention since I pay balances in full on time at a Chase branch each month. I got a Marathon oil card to take advantage of 5% fuel discount. Chase issues the cards for Marathon. Pay it in full each month. Last Feb I went to the local Chase branch to pay this bill. the bill was due on friday, I went to pay on Thur. The bank was extremely busy so I deposited payment in depository. I knew it would be processed the next day, Friday, in the morning. Friday is the due date. The next months bill showed a 39.00 late charge and interest. I called to question this and was told payments are never applied the day they are processed. So lets see this whole picture. In this day and age you can access and pay anything you want, instantaneously, a million bucks at the touch of a key. And Chase can't process a payment on the same day? I have no doubt this is set up to allow them to charge the unsuspecting customer these nuisance charges. Congratulations Chase, you made,(screwed), me out of 52.00. Hope that pays some executives bonus. Heres what that 52.00 cost you.. I have closed all cards that are administered thru Chase. I had 5. I also called Mararthon to tell them I would no longer use a Marathon card untill they switched who administers their cards. I don't expect my experience to affect Marathon, unless a few thousand others do the same. Then maybe Marathon will get the hint. I have close all other Chase accounts, both personal and business. And heres the one I smile about. I just transfered my 401 to Chase investment services. The annual charges I would have paid to manage this account were just under 3,000 a year. BYE BYE. You made 52.00 off me and it cost you well over 3,000 to do it. Congratulations on a job well done. If Chase seems to think they can make up profits from bad business decisions by screwing your long time customers, think again. It will be a cold day in *** before I have anything that says Chase on it in my wallet.

I just had a problem with my chase card. They gave me a promotional period of 3 months no interest no payment for a purchase, but when I sent in my payment they applied it first to the promotion, not my most resent purchase.

Chase refused to reverse my $13.81 finance charges and informed me that it was impossible to take advantage of the promotion. Chase credit card promotions are a scam and they are difficult to work with, as they have no sympathy with regards to charging you and misrepresentations by Chase bank.

I am glad I went online to see about getting a Marathon Charge card to save some money. A friend recommended this card, but now I see how wonderful Chase is, I will not pursue this at this time. So Marathon I am sorry I won't be using you like I thought, but if you find a scrupulous bank, please let me know

How could you not know you had a mortgage payment that had to be paid each month, keeping you from a foreclosure status??? it does not matter who your loan gets sold too...heck it happens all the time to most home oweners....what is not clear about your statement....is how in the heck you tought you didn't have to make a payment...you get a statement in the mail telling you who your loan is sold too.

Worse case, call and ask customer service of either company to get some answers.????

You loan being sold does not get you out of your contractural obligation nor is it their fault. You promised to pay and didn't.

Chase failed to put through my address change, so, after years of using their credit card, often for several thousand dollars a month, and paying it every month, on time, I missed a payment by about a 10 days. They charged not only interest by late fees. This happened...

Chase Bank in Kingston, Kingston - Unfair Credit Card Treatment

I was charged a $39. monthly fee with high interest on an $89. charge I did not know I had. I went into the Peace Corps thinking all my debts were paid. I had been charged for a medicine order that was delayed so I thought it had been charged and paid before I left. The bill ran over $300. before someone from the bank go ahold of me. I paid the original amount immediately but they are refusing to rescind the high charges even though I am out of the country and did not know of them. The card is an Amazon.com card with Chase Bank. Can you help me? I am serving in Jamaica with the Peace Corps. I'm 70 years old and have always paid my bills on time. Thank you.

Chase Bank in Lansing, Michigan - Chase Visa charges extra charges

I paid the balance in full, every month, using the chase website. For 2 consecutive months they charged me finance charges for a outstanding balance I did not have. I tried to pay on the due date on their website. They wanted to charge me a 14.95 fee to pay on that day, or they would charge me a $30 late fee for the payment posting the day after. All they are after is fees and finance charges. The customer service is terrible. They keep sending me canned response and won't work with me. I'm canceling my card, they can get their fees somewhere else.

I can confirm this. It is happening to me at this time.

I also am canceling my card with them and my mortgage as well.

Last month I paid on time and called to confirm they received.

When I received the bill with a late fee, I called and they said it had been posted after midnight. I had to pay it.

Chase Bank in Palo Alto, California - Chase Visas Suck!

I had numerous Chase Bank Visa credit cards (with several airlines and hotels) which I always paid on time. They often made errors or forgot to send me paper monthly statements. After I called them a few times with complaints, they got even with me by closing all my and my family members' credit cards basing their decision on "too many accounts." I wrote to Chase President, but his office girl responded instead. I can live without their cards, but it is grossly unfair, and I do not know who to turn to for justice. No, I am not a liar who is broke and does not pay his bills and then complains and blames others for his mess. No, I swear: I paid in full every months. Chase sucks!

Are you kidding? If you signed up for paperless statements (and trust me, I have them too..

you have to CHOOSE to do so.. they can't even do it by phone, I've asked..) with your mortgage, you would STILL make sure you made your payment even if you didn't get a statement by mail. Just because it's a credit card doesn't mean it isn't a bill.

They are called late fees for a reason. If you aren't late, you won't get a fee.

First off how can you honestly expect the President of Chase bank to respond to your mail? If he took time to do this for everyone who had a complaint that is all he would do.

Also it isnt like Chase picked on you specific.

I have never had a problem with them but i have also never heard of them closing accounts because of too many... they may have overextended you but if that is the case they were actually looking out for you.

Chase bank has to be the crookedest bank in the united states. These banks have a lisence to steal,or

I have had the worst experience with Chase Bank in Clombus,Ohio.I had a loan with them, and when I went to sell the house they come up with all kinds of late payments, interest, even claimed it was in foreclosure. It ended up costing alittle over $24,000.00 the get it all cleared up.I wish some one could tell me how they keep getting by with this?We see it right here every day,but doesn't sink in until it happens to you.You know it is alright for them to ask for an extension of time to answer the case rebuttle, they even ask twice for more time. If they were taking care of a loan the way they should have all the info. But no,they have to change amounts and change the wording to make it look good on them. They are the worst bunch of crooks I have ever heard of,lie, cheat, and do anything to get money. The people that work there even hate them.Sad isn't it? One day their number will come up,but its to late then. TY C.Strider

They don't do the leg work themselves, because like all banking institutes who have customers that owe them money, they are lied to on a regular basis. Unfortunately, as it stands with any case, the proof is always up to the consumer.

I don't think it's just Chase. And no, I do not work for them or have anything to do with them at all.

Just giving you some heads up as to how the real world works. As for suing them, unless you can prove they actually caused you physical/emotional/financial damage by misplacing/misapplying your loan, there is not a court on the planet where your case will stand up.

Chase stole over US$10,000 from me!

I send in a bank check, written in Euros for over 6000 Euros, to their KY Bank by Mail processing center.

Luckily I used registered Mail as that check never materialized on my account.

But when I called Chase about it, they simply refused to act.

All they did was call their processing center (as if I hadn't done that already myself), which told them "nope, no check here" and that was it.

All my attempts of getting them to verify delivery with my tracking info failed.

They outright refused to take any kind of notice of that - even so I send them the tracking #, URL and phone # of the mail delivery service.

But now I found out from the other Bank that the check was cashed already - and Chase wants me to give them the name of their employee who cashed the check.

Fools, once I found that one out as well, I'll be headed straight to my lawyers with that.

Their refusal to do *any* ground work of their own on this will cost them BIG TIME.

I'll sue these untrustworthy motherf* all the way form here to kingdom come.

Chase Bank in Hayward, California - Banks Take Their Bad Decisions Out On Me

If I don't vent my head will explode. So the banks make *** liar loans that go bad and start taking it out on good customers. I have carried a Chase Bank Visa for almost 20 years and my line is about 40k. During that time I have NEVER carried a balance; 5-8k gets payed off every month. Maybe four times in those years I have "spaced" on a payment only to pay it off, with 23%&*^%%$ intrest and late fees, as soon as I catch my error. So this month I space, I figured it out yesterday and issued instructions for my bank to pay it today. Tonight the phone rings and it is "Louis" in Banglore who informs me that I am 9 lousey days late on my payment. 9 days. Chase just loves their customers so much, he tells me, that they just want to make sure we are not having financial problems. *** I guess if I was actually 30 days late they would send Guido out to "extract" the payment. I think they should go after all of their *** execs who landed em in the crapper and leave me alone.

Bank Card! Try this.

I paid off a $12,000.00 car loan to Chase so I could sell the car. They put the money on another loan, the loan to my wife's car, sent me two title to the two different cars, both stamped with Lien Cancelled. Then they sent me a check for over $6000 saying I over paid on a loan. I went to the Bank to initate correcting of this situation.

The bank manager admitted in writing that her employee made the mistake, yet Chase would not accept this and said they could not correct the situation until the Bank had both titles and the money back. I explained that I paid off the loan to sell one car and did not have one of the tiltes. This situation has been going on since March 30, 2009. Chase refuses to acknoweledge they made a mistake.

They put a $12,900.00 bad credit notice on my credit report. The amount is totally wrong. Chase keeps asking for both titles, and refuses to settle this matter on equal terms without any guarantee to what will happen when the title and money are returned. It is in the hands of the lawyer.

Chase consumer service?? Yeah, chase after it and when you catch it, please let me know!!!!!
