In 2004 while my sister purchased a money order for me from Chase Manhattan for 100 dollars. Since I was not in dire need of 100 dollars at the time, I chose to keep my money order for a rainy day. As far as I know, money orders cannot expire, since they are fully paid...

I need to find a way to get my money back from Chase Bank. They are constantly charging me NSF fees that have added up to the hundreds. Most recently I was charged over $400 in NSF fees. What Chase does is take debits and lists them as "pending", then posts...

Chase has with thier hidden policies cost me over $20,000 in unsubstanciated fees and penalties!!! I was recented divorced and a prime candidate to be ripped off!! My divorce settlement was very high and Chase took most of it in fees and overdrafts and still continue to do so with my three monthly deposits!

Chase Bank in Buford, Georgia - Won't waive a $7.22 finance fee!!!!!!

I have had this card for several years, decided to consolidate and pay it off. Well, here comes another bill with $212.18 in finance charges, bit the bullet and paid it. Then another bill of $373.72...I was pi--ed!!! I called the RUDE customer service people and was told if I paid that total amount by the due date (which I did) that there would be NO more finance charges. Yesterday, yet another bill comes for $7.22!!!! When I called again and asked that they waive that fee because the "other" RUDE CS person misinformed me, I was told "NO" and not because they "can't" but because they "won't" !!!! Chase Bank SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chase Bank in Missoula, Montana - Pay on time Chase charges late fee

Chase sends a statement with a payment date. If you pay online on the due date after 4 o clock they will charge you 14.95 to have it show on the day you pay it or $39. late fee. Chase ***. Their customer service is unwavering in their view that the charge is correct. You have to pay before your due date to get credit for paying on your due date. Chase has terrible customer service. They interrupt you every time you try to make a statement. Chase Charge cards have the worst customer service of any card I have used. I have had several.

Chase Bank in Auburn, Indiana - Charged late fee $39.00 bill due on Sunday.Payment received on Monday.

Marathon/Chase credit card. I have always paid my bill in full and on time. My bill was due on a Sunday. I dropped my payment off at the Chase Bank drop box on Saturday the day before the due date. I called Chase and explained the problem but they would not do anything to resolve the problem. I cancelled my account with Marathon/Chase at that time. Marathon needs to find a new Bank to handle their Credit Cards. I like to use Marathon gas stations, but will not use them any more until they change the way they handle their credit cards.

Chase bank just took over washington mutual and they raised my credit card rates from 19.9% to 29.9% for no reason. I have had this card for 4 years and never have been late, I always pay way more than the min.

payment required.

I called and asked them what was going on and the lady said "" I DONT KNOW WHY THEY RAISED YOUR RATES AND I CANT CHANGE THEM". This is a consumer alert as they are a rip-off , please be aware.

Chase Bank in Longmont, Colorado - Late Fee

Chase Bank through Amazon.com assessed a late fee and will not remove it. It is absolutely absurd. I overpay twice a month through automatic debit from my bank assuming all was good. I looked at my statement and there is a whopping $40 late fee assessed and they refuse to remove it stating they are "unable" to remove it if it is not bank error. Because the payments were set to a date right before the close date of the bill, the payments would go to the month prior, I would get a late fee, then the second payment would hit. So even though Americans everywhere are just not paying at all, I am an excellent payer, with excellent credit. I told them I would no longer use their card anymore and guess what..they didn't care. I have never heard of such a thing! In this economy, they should pray for a consumer like me. Terrible customer service. Just terrible.

Same thing. I am charged $1.50 every month.

I pay it off and it automatically shows up again next month. I have spoken with customer service 3 months in a row. Each time they tell me it will be permanently removed. But it just showed up this month as well.

I finally had to cancel my card and now they say it will show up next month even though my account has been cancelled. You cant win with these guys.

Having never paid the bill late since day one with Chase (over 6 yrs) and suddently I am hit with a late fee. According to them, it took ten days for the payment to reach them and it not their fault and they will not remove the fee. I belive that Chase may be start ing a pratice of hold payment for the purpose of collecting late fee to make up for their loan loss.

Harrisro,Why not do w/ Chase as I am doing w/ Wells Fargo Financial? Check out, "Disgruntled Wells Fargo customers unite!" on this website.

I just found out Wells Fargo posted my second ten-cent check.

They did not, however post the PENNY I sent in the same envelope. Good luck in your endeavor.

Chase Bank Credit Card

Chase Bank in Ann Arbor, Michigan - I hate and Despise CHASE!!!

Once again here I am fighting with Chase over my money. I will say that with in the last 2 1/2-3 months someone has found away to withdraw all of the money out of my account I would say every other pay check. Now prior to me writing this I have had to open 2 claims with the disputes department regarding my funds being stolen from my account. Now I must admit that I am a very inquisitive person and like most people in Michigan I cannot afford to miss a pay check. I wish I could afford it but, I cannot. I repeatedly asked Chase Telephone Bankers how is this possible? How can someone withdraw money from my acct through an ATM without my debit card being present? Might I remind you that the last time this happened I had my debit card in my possession! I always get the same responses...someone must know your pin , someone must have taken your card or I don't know. Chase advised me that they would investigate the issue and send me a letter disclosing their findings within 30 days. 30 days past and this letter never came. I even called Chase back to inquire as to what happened with this investigation. I never received any response.....just alot of I don't knows and promises to be contacted via mail or phone which never came. Now the previous two times that this has happened Chase did refund my money. But, to me that was not good enough. I am a person that is all about PREVENTION and I didn't want this to happen to me again. With that being said the 2nd time that all of the funds were withdrawn from my acct I requested to have my acct changed. (which sounds like should be procedure for an issue like this...surprisingly it's not all they do is send out new atm cards) I was told that I would have to go into a Chase Branch to have a new acct put into effect. I was inconvenienced ONCE AGAIN and spent my whole lunch break at a Chase Branch trying to get a new acct where I was met with EVERY EXCUSE in the book as to why I should NOT change my acct . I was told that my account wasn't the issue and that in fact it was my debit card that was used in these transactions and changing the acct wouldn't be useful. I still pressed the issue to have the acct changed and that was when I was told that if I changed my acct it would screw up my direct deposit and Chase wouldn't have an acct to deposit my credits into. With that being said i was convinced to leave the acct the same and assured that since I changed my pin this wouldn't happen again. BUT, persistant me didn't stop there. I even took it upon myself to call Chase yet again and request some form of Identy Theft Protection. ( I wasn't offered this as some form of protocol to victims of fraud or Identity theft...although you would think that they would offer you this protection being that this has happened to a customer of theirs) The young lady informed me that the protection was $11.99. I advised her that being that this was (at that time) the 2nd time this had happened I should receive a few months of this protection for free as a courtesy to me. She told me that she wouldn't be able to honor my request and I took it upon myself to pay for this EXTRA protection to PREVENT any other mishaps in the future. Well guess what? 2 weeks ago my brother died in a tragic car crash. And with that being said I have been going through a great deal of things with my family. I tried to go to a store to pick up a few items and called to see how much my check was(this was on a sunday) and guess what? I only had $100 in my acct although I had just gotten paid on Friday!!!! I spoke with a telephone banker who advised me that there was a deposit of $700 pending on my acct! I immediately told her that that was incorrect and to close my acct down and cancel my debit card(which I had) immediately. Spoke with someone monday to open another claim and they told me I had $400 in my acct. I went to the bank to withdraw the little bit of money I had left to only arrive and find out that my acct was then overdrawn $293!!!!! I bet you are wondering what happened to the $700 deposit? Well come to find out they deposited an empty envelope into the ATM and then withdrew all of my money + the (fake) $700! And you guessed it! CHASE isn't going to give me a DIME of my money back! Now what I would like to know is.....how is that when i deposit a check into the atm that is over $500 my check is held an add'l 24-48 hrs for the check to clear the bank and on the receipt it will say...$1,000.00 is your balance $200 is your available balance(ready for use until that check fully posts to the acct) BUT, these CRIMINALS can make a deposit and before it posts withdraw all of the funds? How is it that I have a spending limit on my acct of $500 per day and $500 of withdrawals throught the atm on the weekend BUT, these people withdrew about $1500.00 over the weekend? I would like to know why wasn't I notified of these suspicious transactions on my acct being that I AM PAYING $11.99 for IDENTITY THEFT PROTECTION! Chase is a JOKE! I cannot believe that this has happened to me. I even went as far as to go and file a police report, request that footage be taken from these cameras to prove that it was not me! Chase did pull the tapes and determine that it wasn't me making the withdrawals but, they told me that the person had on a hat so they didn't get a good shot of his face! HELLO, since when does a criminal show his face at an atm that he knows has video surveillance????? Either way what does that have to do with me???? I have been getting the run around now for 2 weeks. Dealing with the death of my brother I haven't been working so, the 3 days of bereavment pay that I did get from my employer is going to be direct deposited into that acct on Friday and you guessed it! Chase is going to keep it all in fees due to the fact that my acct is overdrawn $293.00! Take it from me DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT bank with Chase...it's not worth the hassle, the headache, the money or your sanity.

Chase Bank in Washington, District Of Columbia - Chase Bad Credit Card Practices

I received two credit cards with Chase, the Sony Visa Card and the Marriott Visa Card with CLs of $12K & $7500. I have never been late, always paid more than the minimum and kept the balances around 50% utilization. Chase first lowered my credit line from $12Kk to $7500 w/o notice. I immediately contact customer service to find out why and express my outrage and the adverse impact this could have on my credit report. I did not receive a valid reason but stated that I could always request an increase in my credit line. Chase has now lowered both credit cards within about $50 of the credit line - again w/o notice. The Supervisor’s response was "we have the right to do that because we’ve extended loans to you" and again stated that I could request a credit line increase. This advice and response is not only foolish but unprofessional as well. I could see lowering the CL is I had been late or over the CL but that has not been the case. I am an EXTREMELY unhappy customer and I intend to let others know about this unsavory business practice and warn them about doing business with Chase. The actions of Chase have resulted in a derogatory impact on my credit score as a result of now having a high credit card balance (relative to the credit limit) increasing credit utilization and decreasing my credit score. There should be no penalties allowed for behavior not directly linked to the specific card. Chase has proven to be an organization that operates in bad faith with the scruples of a loan shark.

I absolutely agree with the last statement regarding them acting like a loan shark. It is absolutely ridiculous how they are treating consumers who they should be grateful for in this economy!

I will be paying them off and cutting them up. I will never do business with them again.
