Dialysis patient denied disability

Type your review here I am an employee of Chase Bank. A year ago I had to go on dialysis. Several months ago I started feeling tired all the time and not feeling alert even though my job is sitting at a desk on the phone you still have to be alert right? My doctor said I should go on short term disability well I applied and they denied it saying that dialysis and phatigue is not a disability, well yes it is. Anyways I just took the time I needed and luckily didn't get fired for it. Well I'm starting to have issues again where I need time off but if I apply I know they will deny it. I just hope they will get theirs some day.

Chase is the worst bank in the world.

I was a loyal WAMU customer for over 10 years. When WAMU was taken over by Chase everything changed. The WAMU credit card I had for 7 yrs that didn't have a balance was canceled and they never told me. I went to use it and it was declined, when I called to find out why I was told it was closed a couple of days before. I never got a phone call, email, or letter informing me of this. The reason was because I hadn't used it in a few months. I tried to set up direct deposit and over a three month period and 8 paychecks none were posted to me account, because of their continuous mistakes. When my employer called to verify the account information Chase gave them the wrong routing number. This was a mistake that I tried to fix for over two months. Chase kept rerouting it to either a closed account or to the wrong routing number, each time telling me it was my fault. My employer each time would put the correct routing number and low and behold Chase would change it. The finally straw for me was when the last paycheck was not deposited into my account eventhough the routing number was correct. The reason Chase gave was because my employer requested that my paycheck be held for 48 hrs past the posting date. Dealing with customer service was the worst, they were not helpful and very rude. They kept telling me that it was my fault or my employers. They would also charge overdraft fees even when the account was made current the same day during working hours. I personally have witnessed them changing dates to charge people these fees. I will never do business with Chase again and I urge everyone to switch banks immediately. I was able to close my account last month and I joined a credit union and I couldn't be happier.

First of all, learn to spell out words properly before calling people ***! I believe you are also one of those idiots who work in chase bank and do nothing but blame their customers instead of trying to solve their *** problems.

Guest

worst bank ever! They steal money through overdraft fees even though it was not your fault.

Everything gets posted late and then you get charged for it.

Also you do not see the pending transactions in balance preview which is very confusing. So never get involved with a chase bank!!!

WORST BANK IN THE WORLD _ CHASE BANK - WHEELING WV - WOODSDALE BRANCH- Chase no longer allows anyone to deposit cash into an account (even with a deposit ticket) if the name is not on the account- even with a drivers license. Really?

SCAM SCAM SCAM - this is really difficult if someone is traveling - or has a medical emergency out of town - you use to be able to depend on banks to access your account from where ever you are- no more having anyone helping you out! OH GOD_ WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

all the chase banks are useless so dont do any business with any chase banks

Never in my history of banking have I experienced such horrible nightmares, hardships, unjust scrupulous fees and horrible service than with chase bank. You are making excuses for this horrible bank!

Guest

Funny most banks are the same however if you actually pay attention to what you spend your money on you won't worry about strange fees. I am sorry most people that complain about fees are looser who can not balance their own check book.

I have had nothing but positive things to say about chase bank customer service is great and when ever there has been a mistake they are prompt to assume responsibility. Inpatient please keep your money under your mattress so if you get robbed you'll have no one to blame but your own cheap self! :) plus go to a credit union I am pretty sure the bank would rather pay you the fees back than waist their employees hourly wages listening to you complain.

it would be cheaper than hearing cheap people fight over cents. Love chase!

Chase took over $1000 out of my checking account!

I was a very happy Washington Mutual customer. Then Chase took over WaMu. I reduced my number and type of accounts to a single free checking account, which type is 'grandfathered' in since Chase doesn't have free checking to offer new customers. This is not (thank goodness!) my primary bank. I use a credit union for that. I had over $1,000 in my Chase free checking account. I logged in to verify my balance before paying one of my on-line utility bills. It showed two "Withdrawals to another account", one for over $800 and the other for about $300, leaving me with $0 zero balance! I called them immediately. Over the next two weeks, I spent over 20 hours on the phone with these people. I took notes. Apparently, people even lied about what department they were in. During all of these hours of calls and run-arounds, I did get a few people who got me the next bit of key information. They took the money to put toward another person's overdrawn business accounts! At one point in time, I had been listed as a 'signer' on the business account as any company secretary or part-time helper may be in order to make deposits or pay company suppliers. Chase kept trying to say that I was responsible. I kept telling them that I was not an owner and in no way related to the owner and was in no way responsible for that business and had not seen nor heard from that owner in over a year. Finally, I got someone who pulled the actual documents and agreed that indeed I was in no way responsible for this other person's business accounts. Thank goodness for that one person who told me exactly what the records showed - account numbers and amounts. It took many more calls to finally get all of my money back. There was no apology, only "It was an easy mistake to make." from one of the people. Of course, I immediately withdrew almost all of my money in cash, leaving less than $20 in my account. When I closed out my home mortgage account with Chase, it had a zero balance. Then, suddenly, it had a six cent balance. I could not pay it on line or on the phone or in the actual bank due to the low amount, under one dollar. Finally, they charged me $57 dollars and some odd cents more than 6 to close it out. Meanwhile, they dinged my credit bureaus reports with "late mortgage payments". I now need to get them to remove that!

Chase-unlawful at best

After incurring some very large medical bills due to my having breast cancer and no medical insurance, I was struggling to make my house payments of 2,600. I asked Chase for a loan modification and they gave me a trial payment of 2,940 for 3 months....go figure!!! I complained about it being higher than my original payment but they said that would change with the modification. WELL......I just got my loan documents to sign and not only is the payment 2,800 but they tacked on 67,000 in additional fees!!! I understood that the MHA program was designed to reduce monthly payments, interest rates, and reduce the amount of your mortgage to more clearly reflect the true value in today's economy. Did we tax payers NOT just bail this company out???? What is wrong with this picture President Obama? I will be sharing these documents, unsigned of course, with my Attorney General and anyone else who thinks this is an outrage.

If you are in a modification you MUST agree to have your taxes and insurance entered into an escrow account. I have seen many cases where a persons monthly payment would actually increase whereas the portion of the payment that was going towards principal and interest decreased significantly. I would venture a guess this is the situation in this case.

Guest

May have something to do with the "secret formula":

"Homeowners must meet certain basic qualifications to be eligible for a modification under the program: the home must be the primary residence and the homeowner must be able to show she can't afford the mortgage payments. If those hurdles are cleared, the servicer is supposed to run a secret formula developed by the Treasury Department to determine whether the investor would make more money modifying the loan or not.

The program lowers the mortgage payments to 31 percent of the homeowner's monthly income. If modification is likely to be more profitable, the servicer is obligated to offer the homeowner a modification."

Guest

Why would a bank raise the payments for someone applying for a loan modification?

also remember that Chase practically invented the default swap "product". They entered into deals with large overseas investors to buy/sell CDOs while the market was crashing.

All the while generating profits and paying bonuses above and beyond any other bank on the planet. They must have made money from swaps, and I'd say they still are.

I don't even owe Chase Bank

I don't even owe Chase Bank and they keep harassing me. Collectors from Chase has been calling my house for a year and I keep telling the idiots that the person(s) they are looking for does not live at this #. I try to get a # I can call and they keep giving me a # that you have to have a social security # and account # to get through. I have been kind, I have cursed them, I have done a little of everything to keep them from calling my house but nothing has worked yet! I will not give up until I speak with someone in charge. I also have asked to speak with a supervisor or someone in charge and they tell me no one is available. I want a job there as a supervisor so I won't have to do anything! I also think if they would hire people that actually could speak english they might "understand" english. Is this one of the companies that was "bailed-out"?

I have told them repeatedly not to call and they still continue several times a day. I have added their # to my block list.

What they are doing is illegal. Contact the FDCPA.

Also go to debtcollectors.com for how to handle the calls. good luck

Chase Bank plays endless *** games.

Be careful. Document everything they say. ask for a follow up in the mail and be sure to get the name of the person you are dealing with. They have suddenly decided to threaten me with forclosure. They have been saying I'm 5 months behind when I only missed two payments. I was given a small deduction in my monthly payment when I called in for a loan mod. No one told me this lower payment would equal a missed payment until they recieved a second payment. They were sitting on 500.00 plus dollars of my money in some other strange account. I had sent it in to apply to the principle and they just held on to it. The story keeps changing every time I call. I have not missed a payment in well over a year. I complained to the banking commision so Chase fast tracked my Loan Mod only to gleefully tell me I had been denied. They are slick and slimey liars.

J.P. Morgan /CHASE Financial Group

I was a credit card holder of Providian Financial Services, until it was taken over by Washington Mutual, then about a year ago, it was taken over by J.P. Morgan Chase. In the four years I had this credit card I never had any problem with Providian or Washington Mutual. When Chase took over, I was mailed a letter stating that my APR would be arbitrarily increased by 12% due to the sagging economy. I was given an opt out option to the increase if I was willing to close the account and pay off the balance in regularly monthly payments, (just as I had been), but the card would be inactive and I gladly accepted. I closed the account to keep my APR 9.9% and all seemed fine. I shredded the card, and planned to pay off the balance. My APR did not change for 3 months, when one day I went online and found my APR to be posted as 22%. I called the customer "service" department and was told that they never promised me an opt out and that in fact, they showed no record of my conversation with customer service 3 months earlier! I told them the name of the person I spoke with, the date and time, (as I always write notes with stuff like this), and they denied having anyone by that name working for them. I told them they are committing fraud and that I would report them to the Federal Trade Commission and all agencies I could to include the Better Business Bureau and the person I spoke with said, "you can do as you wish, your APR is still going to be 22%". I told them it could be a cold day in *** before I submit to corporate greed and strong arm business tactics. I also told them they could find someone else to try to screw because the screw was coming back to them this time. I told them I would NEVER pay a dime on this account until the lowered my APR back to 9.9%. I had NEVER missed a payment in all the years I had the card, nor had I overdrawn it. I was I admit paying just over minimum payments for the last 8 months but I was in good standing and should not have been levied a 12% APR increase due to an economy they helped to destroy. To this day (a year later), Chase has not seen a DIME of my money on a $8K account and they will not. I will let a judge lock me up if that is what has to happen first. And believe me, I will get media attention then! I defaulted on the account and my credit rating has suffered, BUT, they are doing it to MANY people and the credit card I just got (through my new bank) is 12% APR and they said not to worry about Chase's ding on my credit report as pretty much everyone affiliated with Chase got hit with this massive arbitrary increase and that numerous people are refusing to pay now. Chase just reported a 3.3 BILLION dollar profit for the first quarter of 2010, and it is from arbitrary increases on otherwise good customers unwilling to stand up to them. I for one will stand against this monster and fight. I can tolerate a low credit score as I don't buy major purchases and rarely use my credit cards now. I still have two others in good standing, so Chase can kiss my ***! It is my opinion that Chase is a criminal organization and I predict them to be before the feds eventually for their extortion and I hope they collapse to the ground. A truly EVIL, DECEITFUL, and GREEDY company. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Welcome to the new world banking order. The fact that I am the first "hit" on your post should tell you something about the stupidity of the American public.

Chase screwed me and hundreds of thousands of others over..nobody cares...not the government, not your congressional reps, the senate, the Pres...nobody...its a game...you are a small fish in the big financial pond...just like me...sorry...just like me...you lose. If you have ANY money in 401K, IRA..I would suggest you take the tax hit and pull it out. This is a game for the big boys...not people like you and me who are just trying to have a decent life. Good luck to you...you are now swimming with the worst legalized loan sharks in this country's history...me too...wish I could throw you a line...I'm sinking too, and I am neither irresponsible, a welfare recipient looking for a handout.

I'm just a hard-working person, college educated; morals, ethics...who cares? Nobody.

Text Message - Account Activity - I am receiving text messages telling me to "call JPMorgan Chase

I have been receiving text messages on my cell phone. They advise me to "call JPMorgan Chase Bank regarding account activity". These messages are fraudulent, if you call the number given it asks for your credit card number, pin and expiration date. I never gave the bank my cell phone number.

Please Do Not Do This. I was advised by Chase that they would never ask for that information. I replaced my card and no harm was done to my accounts.

I am still receiving these text messages and I hope that the people

responsible for them are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Chase Banks Sucks

Terrible bank. I live less than half a mile from the bank in Tulsa, Oklahoma and I always had to speak to a foreigner that after I gave all my bank information, enough for them to commit credit theft, they would tell me they could not give me information about my account! Really? The $10.98 monthly service fees to uses this lousy bank is ridiculous. The only reason I opened the account is to receive the $100.00 they offer for a new account. Well let me tell you, you will never get it, as there are to many stipulations. Closed the account and opened an account with Bank Of Oklahoma. They have a call center right here in the good old USA 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and Free checking and are user friendly.

Chase makes you pay to receive fraud refund!

If you have purchased or received a CHASE Gift Card, you better use it quick and now! This is because if you have unexpected activities on your card, even if you did not lose the card, the bank tries to make money off of you and make you pay a fee to replace or close the account! They tell you that there are fees associated with replacing the card and closing the account. Whether you choose to replace the card that has fraudulent activities or close the account completely, they make you pay a fee. They also tell you that this fee is not waivable, because apparently it takes them a lot of money to do so. Also, if you are arguing about the fraud, if you don't pay this replacement or account closing fee, they reverse the credit and you get NOTHING back!!! So I basically was threatened to pay the fee or I lose the $60 fraud amount. They also make you a lot of trouble going back and forth with the whole investigation. I though gift card is supposed to help you secure your credit card and money, and yet Chase is trying to make money off of you. I had my card in my possession the entire time, and never used it online either, and have only used it in restaurants. How is a gift card different from a regular credit card? If there is unusual activities on your card, the bank always refund you the amount immediately, replace the card for you immediately with no fees, and then investigate! So it's a lot more money to make gift cards?! Bank gift cards make you purchase them already, and now they ask you for replacement fee when I did not lose my card, but it has to be replaced because of fraud! Ridiculous! How come regular stores who sell gift cards never make you pay additional fees?! Someone please tell me, am I being unreasonable?! So I'd like to warn everyone once again, if you have purchased and received a CHASE gift card, you better use it now and quick and never purchase from them again! American Express is the way to go, their cards never expire, no dormant fees and no replacement fees! CHASE has absolutely horrible customer service even though I have been their Credit Card customer for over 10 years and they tell me I have to replace the card, pay the fee in order to favour the dispute in my direction! I am a victim of a credit card fraud! Something is seriously wrong here I think.

Closing an account

I have been trying to close two account with Chase for almost a year. They continue to charge me a bogus service charge and I haven't use these account in almost a year. I emailed them several times requesting them to close, they asked me to send it regular mail, I did..then they asked me to fax in the request, I did...One account had $25.00 in it and the other because of service charges was -$27.00. Finally, someone got it and that was done, then I had to speak with a supervisor to regarding the $2.00 difference, she finally reversed those charges. I was told to call back today to close the accounts, now I'm being told they cannot close the account because I can't answer some questions they got off some report that I don't know anything about. This has been just a nightmare, I don't understand. This is almost a year now!!!

Chase Bank and its Unethical Practice

Chase Bank has jeopardized the housing ownership of several families because of their laxed practice of acting on the loan modification requests they have received. I applied for a loan modification in December 2008 when I had a major Health Problem but had not missed a single payment in 10 years with them. Initially under WAMU they gave me provisional approval with a statement over the phone stating my modification was approved with designated payments. I waited for 45 days to get the letter which never came. I was told to re-apply, I did so, in March my monthly loan payment was rejected because I had applied for loan Modification and it would result in them having to reconfigure my loan documents. I insisted fearing the ruining of my credit. Branch accepted payment and sent it to their mortgage office. In April same thing happened. They refused payment informing me that even payment made previous month was sitting in a suspense account and not credited to my account. I was promised that this will not affect my credit. In May I find my credit cards are cancelled by American Express, Bank America and told that it was due to reporting on credit report. On inquiring from Credit Bureaus, I was told it was due to negative reporting and failure to make payments for 60 days with WAMU. Wrote letters to credit bureaus of error on credit report and also talked to WAMU customer service, they corrected the error in May and sent me a letter asking me to use that as a proof of correction. Thereafter I received a Trial Loan Modification Agreement for 90 days. I signed documents and sent it with my first payment. Made on time the next two payments and informed them to let me know what my payments would be. WAMU sent an appraiser, Got a phone call from WAMU call center informing me that Loan Modification was denied because I had too much equity, I did not make enough money. Since September 2009, I have not received any communication about the denial of my loan or informing me of my monthly payments. Wrote a letter to Jamie Dimon's office, no reply. I could have gone to another bank and got financing when I was employed and had credit score of 750. Now I have a negative remark on my credit report stating 60 day delinquent in March and April 2009. Citizens should withdraw all money from Chase and take it smaller regional banks. Big Banks like Chase mess with your life. They have no respect for they spend more money on decorating their banks then providing enough tellers to help customers. They hide behind voice mail. They have no scruples

I wrote a post-dated check, per my agreement with my college. The due date of the bill was July 22, the same day my paycheck would be direct-deposited so I dated the check for 7.22.11.

The school then cashes the check today, 07.19.11 and Chase then slaps me with the overdraft charge. This infuriates me.

My writing on the date was clear.

I have long been wanting to cancel my accounts with Chase because of it's predatory and unethical ways - this is the last straw. As soon as I leave work I'm going to the nearest branch and demand they take the overdraft fee off, and then I'm canceling my account right then and there.

I had a CD, checking and savings with Chase, as I'm an old standing customer of WaMu. All accounts were large balances, and I have been an excellent customer now for over 6 years - no overdrafts or bounces, basically no additional fees have ever been assessed to me... that's a good thing, right?

Well, not according to Chase!! They cancelled my checking and savings accounts without warning and without explanation. It has now been over 3 weeks and I still have not received my money! They claimed to "hold" my accounts for 5 business days until outstanding items could be cleared, then they would mail me a check for the remaining balance.

Now, three weeks after they cancelled my accounts, I am told today by Chase Customer Service that they took this action because "Chase is not making enough money off of you". Basically, she explained, because you are a good customer, Chase can't assess extra fees on you and therefore doesn't want you as a customer. Apparently the fact that I have a paid checking account just wasn't enough money?

I'm filing suit against them for holding my money two weeks (so far) AFTER their policy legally allows and denying interest on the accounts during that time.

If anyone else has a similar experience please email me, I have a feeling this is happening more often than anyone knows.

Thank you

Guest

Chase bought out WAMU and almost immediately raised the rates on my credit card and just raised them again.

Gonna pay them off by the end of the year and may their execs rot in ***!!!!!

No wonder the world hates America.....

You should probably get a forensic audit done on your loan so you can see if you have any violations to use as leverage against Chase in order to give you a proper modification. They may pay attention when you start reciting statutes that they may have violated.

We the consumers of United States of America have been ripped by the Big banks who went begging to the Federal Govt for TARP funds. Even after receivibf this big money they have continued to abuse the Banking System by paying large amount to their Executive Staff. Can't imagine a CEO getting paid multimillion dollar salry and bonus.

Consumrs need to Boycott big banks. Withdraw money from all Major banks and deposit them with your credit unions or small regional bank to a maximum of $ 100,00 so you are within your FDIA limit. Send 100 emails a month to your friends, families and acquaintances urging them to withdraw money from these rip off artists " Chase, Bank of America, Citibank and Wells Frago". I f we all do it and also urge our employers to do the same, these big banks will be brough down o their knees. They will treat consumers with respect. Get away from their refuge from Voice mails and start talking calls.

So send a message to your colleagues and friends and start taking action

They are pushing up the rates on all thier loan account even credit cards, I was able to change out the morgage, but I have a 3.99% fixed rate on a consolidation balance tranfere loan on my chase C.C card with a balance of now of $22000 (started at $32000 two yrs ago), where I paid min. of at least 2% = $440 a mo.

(paying extra when I have it), well they chase decides that since they could not get away with ripping me off on the morgage, they would try to rip me off on the C.C. account. First the increased the min. payment to 5% in mid month after they had sent me the the monthly statement w/$440 min.

payment. I sent them $500 and they gave me a $39 late fee and said the min. was now $1010 and I owed them $1580 min. next mo.

or they would default to 29.99% interest.I paid them $2000 to clear and back payments. I asked them why and the supervisor accually said it was because they were not making big money on me. The supervisor after paying down $2000 also, offered me a 9.99% changeover rate for 2 years w/ a 5% bal. trans.

on the now $20000 = $1000 fee. This was an Chase trying to default the account to 29.99% or 2.5% monthly interest., then when I cought up with my emergence fund, they tried again w/ a higher limited time rate W/ A $1000 FEE TO BOOT!! I told them that they had caught me off balance, but I would stick with the low 3.99 year for the life of the loan, that I would just be paying it of quicker and each payment bring the monthly min. down.

If you have any kind of loan, C.C.,morgage, or business loan , transfer the balance to another bank as so as posible, and if chase really gets you behind the money train eightball, going bankrupt is always a option. Avoid doing business with them if you can!!!

Send documents -- How many times?

When I lost my job we continued to make our mortgage payment until we could see the end of the savings was in sight. At that point I applied for a Loan Modification. What a nightmare. I've spent as much time on hold as it takes to fly to Europe. Was the wait worth it? Daaahhh. The answer was always the same, "Send in your documents." I filled out, copied, sent in double copies and no one ever knew where they were. I called and sent letters responding to any request they submitted. Ultimately I would get the same response. "We closed your application because it was incomplete." WHAT? We finally decided the house had to go. So we opted for the short sale route. We have had an offer sitting for two months. Our realtor calls several times a week and I call. What is the response ... "Send in the documentation." There is no cracking this mess. If the CIA operated like Chase no secrets would ever be disclosed. Sadly, Chase is suppose to be in the business of helping customers. This bank is too big to do business.
