Chase Bank in Wilmington, North Carolina - Unknowledgeable staff and the run around

I have been trying to get a loan modification from Chase for 14 months when my husband moved out of the home, leaving me to pay all of the bills. My income wasn't enough to cover household bills and the mortgage, and I am facing a hardship. I had a very difficult time getting knowledgeable people to assist me, and it took me "forever" to get my file into the underwriting department. I contacted Chase several times throughout this process and spoke to different representative who would tell me different things were needed every time I called. It was really frustrating, but I got my file to underwriting after about 6 months and i was already getting foreclosure notices. I was denied for modification and was told to submit another packet, so I did. My file went to underwriting, and my house was damaged in the April 2011 NC tornados. My file was somehow closed, but noone could tell my why it was closed. I had regular contact with Sylvia prior to the storm, but none afterwards although I called her several times and left messages. I ended up talking to Sylvia's supervisor, who reopened my file. I called to check on the modificaiton and was told that it was denied. I haven't received any notices about the denial, except for a foreclosure sale date notice today. I called and talked to representative Martha who told me that the modification hadnt been fully denied yet. I guess noone there really knows anything or cares to know anything except that my home is going to be sold in a foreclosure sale on 9/7/11. i am out of options and am running out of time. Chase has not treated me fairly and has strung me along to foreclose on my property.

We filed for a loan modification from Chase in 12/10 due to my job loss from disability. After months of paperwork, paperwork, paperwork, Chase e-mailed us a blank form they stated was for the title company.

They wanted us to send it back notarized. We refused as was recommended by the notary. We contacted the title company and were told the paperwork was a requirement by Chase, not the title company. We gave Chase the name and number of the title company rep.

They denied our modification. We have referred this to Freedom Legal Plans...now we're afraid we may have been scammed again!

I too applied for a loan modification in Feb 2011 after having some costly but necessary repairs and getting behind on things since we have no savings. We finally got to a point where we could send them payments but it was returned.

After hearing nothing I called chase in April to find out what was going on. At that point I was told that my application was in underwriting and was told NOT to make any payments as that would require the whole underwriting process to start over. This went on for a few months until I finally gave up and we are now being forced to file chapter 13 in order to keep our house so our children ages 3 and 6 will have a roof over their heads and a safe place to sleep at night. I feel that Chase purposely dragged their feet on this so our house would go into forclosure.

What they want my house for is beyond me. It's worth $12,000 less than when we bought it. Don't the banks have federal money to use to help people struggling with their mortgage payments? Don't they get an insentive for helping people stay in their homes?

Why aren't they using it? One word GREED!!!

Chase Bank in Charlotte, North Carolina - Overpayment issues

I paid off a chase credit card account about a month ago... And knowing that they would be adding interest and not wanting to short pay I overpaid the account and asked them to close it. This was done and the account is now closed. The issue is that I called them today and they have not sent out my overpayment until I asked for it... Yes my money and they were holding it. I am now getting a check in 10-14 days and when I asked they said they normally keep the overpayment for six months unless asked.

Chase Bank in Los Angeles, California - Chase credit card company is dishonest

I have been a Chase customer for years. I've never had a late payment. My interest rate used to be 5.99% and is now 12.99%. Today I checked my bank account and noticed that Chase cashed my check one day after it's due date. How convenient!! I have never had this happen to me. I contacted Chase and the representative waived my 25.00 late fee. That's fine and dandy, but when I asked him how I could dispute this, he said that I could not. He recommended that I send my payments at least five days in advance and also reassured me that this would not taint my credit score. I sent my bill almost two weeks before it was due. I can't dispute this because it's not as if they would keep a postmarked envelope. Although I feel that my situation has been resolved, I am still annoyed with Chase. They are sinking pretty low these days to ensure they get your money, one way or another! I will not cancel my card with them, however, I will NEVER use it again! Shame on Chase for trying to screw their customers!

I pay my bills the old fashioned way. Snail mail.

I don't do online banking or payments over the phone. People that pay with those methods are the fools! I have perfect credit, thus the frustration with Chase. I send my payments as soon as I get them, hence the impeccable credit.

I don't need to grow up, and I'm not interested in your comments. I was just sharing information.

I wasn't giving my opinion, so I'm not interested in yours. Just stating the facts people.

Chase Bank charges $12/month service fee

Chase told me last year I could open a business account with NO service fee since I had a personal checking and savings account and I opened it with $100. Now it's 07/30/2011, that account is overdrawn $12. They've been charging that business account $12/month service fee and now there's no money, but a $12 debt there. What happened to "no fee"? They say no fee for either the business OR personal account, not both. Loss of all money in business credit card and checking account due to misleading information. Deceptive customer service. Chase Bank Double Fee

I worked at chase and there is a reg d, which the gov restricts amount of withdrawls or transferes in a interest savings/ money market account, the only thing that happens if after 3 occurences or 7 or more reg d transactions, the account is convereted to a non-interest account of some sort. Chase has been double bill, stating the government has a reg d charge of $12, chase has a $3 fee they charge I believe starting at 3 qualifying withdrawls, when I went into my training with Chase they stated the $12 fee was a government fee...it is not...infact there is no fee for Reg D.

Joseph at Chase Bank in Seatac

Do not ever go to Chase Bank in Seatac!!! Especially don't believe one word that comes out of Joseph's mouth!!! From the day I opened my account, it has been nothing but lies and over promising and under delivering from this man. He has personally cost me over $350.00. I have never in my life witnessed such horrible customer service from anyone in any business. I even got the branch manager involved and that didn't help. Not sure what his name is but apparently he is just as bad. Tell anyone and everyone you know to never go there!!! Save them the money and heartache of this place. My auto loan and my bank account is all through Chase Bank and I have to drive to the branch just to make a truck payment. He was supposed to change my due date on my truck three times now and because he hasn't I've acrued late fee's. I even filled out paperwork to make this happen. Told me that I would recieve 125.00 from Chase Bank if I opened my account. That never happened. I had to pay a check cashing place to cash my check because they wouldn't cash my check even though I have an account with them. The list goes on and on!! Just trust me!!! This place is a nightmare!!

I CAN VERIFY WHAT THIS CUSTOMER IS CLAIMING. THIS BRANCH IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND DOESNT HOLD UP THE STANDARDS OF THE CHASE NAME.

STAFF & MANGERS HERE DO NOT CARE ABOUT PROVIDING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE OTHER 2COMMENTS HERE MUST HAVE BEEN MADE BY THE STAFF THEMSELVES TO TRY & JUSTIFY

I have never had a bank not deposit

a good check I put thru the ATM.

So paying a fee to "check cashing" was

your decision, as you were in a hurry.

Chase Bank ATM did not record my deposit

Chase ATM machine took my checks but shut down, without warning, before my deposit was recorded. The screen went blank and did not reset. I waited for about 10 minutes for it to reset. I reported the issue and was given a claim number now they say I didn't make the deposit and want to debit my account the amount of the claim. How do I fight a lopsided issue, they have my checks and I don't have a receipt. What are the consumer rights for getting a bank audit of the checks deposited at the ATM machine during the time when my deposit was made.

When I worked at BofA, all ATM envelopes were opened in double custody (2 people). This procedure prevents an employee from stealing checks or cash.

I was shocked to see a single person walk into my local Chase branch (when it was still a WAMU) carrying a huge box of ATM envelopes retrieved from their off-site ATM - ALL ALONE. After seeing this, I’ve never used the ATM for a deposit again. If someone in your ATM branch’s hasn’t stolen the checks, they should be in the office and someone there should have contacted you to let you know.

Have you called the people who gave you the checks to see if they have cleared? If any of them have cleared, get a copy of the back of those checks which will give your branch the information they need to see who cashed the checks and/or where the funds were applied.

Chase Bank Deposit

Chase Bank in Carson City, Nevada - Chase double-billed me, then sold loan to LBPS so I couldn't force them to put extra on principal.

My Chase home loan at 8.4% was paid down to ed to set up an online payment while away from home. When he didn't set up my acct., I tried again until I learned that the process would make my payment late, but paying by phone was $20, same as a late fee. I said never mind, and just paid late when returning home. When I learned I had been double-billed for months, I demanded they put the extra charges directly toward my principal. They refused; I wrote the CEO, and was sent a $100 check. During the same week I learned that Chase had sold my loan to LBPS, who wouldn't take care of the charges because they didn't own the loan when the criminal act occurred. I still intend to demand a refund from Chase of at least $1,000, by legal means if necessary. I paid off that loan when I bought a foreclosed home with a 3.75% loan with enough extra to pay LBPS off as part of the loan. In my opinion both Chase & LBPS scam their clients whenever possible. In fact, LBPS just changed their name to Seterus, Inc. to improve their image. They are based at 14523 SW Millikan Way, Suite 20, Beaverton, OR 97005. For more information, just Google them.
