Chase bank is the worst

I am a international student attending school here in the U.S.A. I received a letter from chase bank today which upset me greatly. The letter stated that they will close my account if I do not send a copy of my passport and I 20. However, here is an account of my recent experience with this bank. To begin, on January 6 I opened my account at the bank in Avon and I saw the banker making copies of my passport and I 20. But the next day, she called me and said she forgot to make the copies and I need to revisit the bank again. Even though I saw her making copies, I did not mention this because I am aware that mistakes happen from time to time. Next week, I went back to the bank in Bloomington since it is closer to me than the one in Avon. At the bank, I told the banker my story. After this, he made copies of my passport and I 20 again, and told me that he had fixed everything.? But, unfortunately, I got another call from the bank and telling me that they still need copies of my passport and I 20. At this point I went back to the other Chase bank, in downtown Bloomington, and the banker there did the same things as the bankers before had done. Yet now the chase bank asking me to send even more copies of my passport and I 20... i can't believe this happened to me again.

i was robbed and chase took my interest rate from 9% to 34% and closed my account. I called them last February 2011 and offered them a settlement because I was no longer able to pay my cards from the increase in the interest rate.

I had a balance of $1,600 and offered them 1,000 they accected it but before i hunf up told them I need a confirmation # they put me on hold and said his supervisor turned down my offer since I was never late on my card. I explained if I didnt pay them now I was no longer able to pay them and they refused. then about a month ago an attorney called me and told me i have to pay them and they added an additional $1000 in fees and interest on to the balance I explained I couldnt pay it . Well now they are sueing me and I have to got to court on April 9, 2012.

I am praying the judge rules in my favor. oh and I also noticed that chase took a govenment bailout of over 95 billion $. I mean can you believe it they take help from the taxpayer ain which I pay my taxes but won't accept a settlement from me and then add an additional $1000 onto my account.

what crooks and cheaters. I pray for Gods help on this one.

One hand doesn't know what the other is doing as the old saying goes. I have been with Chase in one form or another for decades.

However, things like this happen in a large organisation.

Get used to it. It's only going to get worse when ObamaCare kicks in come 2014.

You need to ditch this monster mega-bank and choose a small community bank near where you live or go to school.

Be aware that Chase Belgrave operates the same scheme as Devere Group, that is misleading, ripping you off and offering bad advice. One of the worst ever "advisor" of Devere Group, Michael Moore (not the famous one), has moved from devre to Chase Belgrave (or has been...

J.P. Morgan/Chase Bank

For the past year and a half me and my wife have been trying to file for a Loan Modification with Chase Bank. We started this Loan Modification in June of 2010 and are still going today!!! We have filled out the "SAME PAPERWORK" about at least sixteen to seventeen times since we have started the filing! Then they tried to send me and my wife a Foreclosure paper to let us know that they are going to Foreclose on our home! Had to fight them for four months to get all this situated! And now we have to fill out the "EXACT SAME" paperwork again that they should already have! We have copies of all paperwork that we have filled out and sent to them, but still we are filling out the same paperwork, why??? If "ANYONE" can help us out there, please leave me and my wife some information that might help us! They say that something was filled out wrong each time or they lost our paperwork again!!!!!!!!

Chase Bank in Dallas, Texas - Chase refi fraud

After months of non stop calls from Chase bank trying to get us to refi our home loan which is we already have with them we decided to look into the rates etc. Currently we have a $75k equity line with Chase with a ZERO balance. We have used it in the past, but have paid it off over a year ago. My husband went to the Chase office and asked them if we refinanced would we be able to keep the equity line we currently have and they said yes. So my trusting husband took their word (big mistake) and gave them a check for $395 to start the process. Not long after that we are told our $75 equity loan would be reduced to $10k. What does anyone do with $10k, we have that and more in saving so $10k is worthless to us. We asked them why they lied to us and they said they've never had anyone with a zero balance on an equity line. Which means if ran up the equity line we could keep what it at the current balance. So what do you get for being responsible and having little to no debt- lied to by the big monster mega banks like Chase. I want the $395 back under the principle that they misrepresented the terms of the refinance. Chase told my husband the $395 was non refundable, will see about that. I called the Clark Howard show and was told to file a compliant with the consumer finance board. I will do that. This morning my husband shows me the paper work where it indicates the equity line being lowered from $75k to $10k. Its starts off with: I request that my equity line be lowered...what the what? We never requested it be lowered. Again Chase committing flat out fraud. I couldn't believe the wording on the document written by them. Truly amazing how low they will go to steal $395 from an excellent consumer. Avoid them like the plaque, we are now looking for an honest smaller institution to do a refinance through and get a decent equity line through.

Chase Bank is a RIP OFF

I remember the days when you put money into a passbook savings account and interest would be paid quarterly. The MEGA banks, Chase being the worse of them all, now charge you if you open an account and don't make deposits according to their schedule. This is WRONG. My saving account is tied to my checking. It started with $300 and now is under $180. They charge me $4.00 a month just to have the account, and if you consider the insulting interest they pay, NO ONE will ever get enough interest to pay the monthly fee. So the bottom line is we, the taxpayers, bail out the MEGA banks so they can charge us each and every time we use a teller machine and now take money from checking accounts. To everyone and anyone, the best place to put your money is in the Credit Union. Banks like Chase only care if you have millions to depost and if you don't they take it from you anyway. Bailout money - bologna! They stole from the very people that saved them from bankruptcy and now the very people that saved them are getting jipped.

Chase Bank in Scottsdale, Arizona - Chase foreclosed in error then foreclosed again

I have several investment properties where Chase Mortgage holds the loans. In Aug of 2010, I got a final loan approval for a loan modification. The paperwork arrived and I sent it back and it was received Oct 1st, 2010. I made my first post modification payment in Oct 2010. It was by personal check (I have copies of front and back of that check). Also, Chase sent me an e-mail thanking me for that payment. (I have a copy of that e-mail also.) When I tried to setup an automatic payment for Nov, I was told that the loan was still "coded" and that I should not worry but to wait until the "code" was removed from the loan. Chase foreclosed Nov 30th, 2010. Next, they evicted all my tenants. I provided copies of all documents to the eviction attorney who actually delayed the evictions a couple of weeks - he was perplexed. Ultimately, Chase evicted everyone and my property was vandalized because Chase did not safeguard it. I had owned this property and all other fourplexes on that block for over ten years. May 13th, 2011, Chase rescinded the foreclosure sale and refiled another trustee's sale date. They ignored the dates during which I had no ownership or control of my property from Nov 30, 2010 to May 13th, 2011. The DEMAND statement did not reflect that the property was lost in foreclosure for that period. Chase postponed several more sale dates as they understood that the DEMAND statement was incorrect AND that I had been diligent in sending all documents for ANOTHER modification in a timely manner. Then, on Jan 23rd, 2012, the property was once again sold at foreclosure auction (California Trustee's Sale). An outside bidder purchased the property. I called Chase and they admitted "another error" in the handling of this file. They rescinded the sale prior to the trustee's deed being recorded. AND, they set the auction date for Febr 23rd, 2012. They have been at this circus since Dec 2008 when they filed the original notice of default. All figures for the defective DEMAND statement stem from the figures available in Dec of 2008. They never refiled a notice of default but keep filing notice of trustee's sale and have actually foreclosed TWICE in error. I'm an emotional basket case and this has ruined my health and sanity. I'm a 67 year old widow that retired based on rental income. This building was part of my retirement plan and Chase has been relentless in attempting to foreclose - after they gave me a permanent and final loan modification AND accepted the first payment for that modification. Can anyone help me? Cheryl Miller

Chase Bank in Scottsdale, Arizona - Saxon refused to work on loan mod.

My mortgage was with Chase Mortgage and just about ready to be approved for mod (the property identical next door submitted to Chase on the same day, same amount, same investor was approved during this time). I contacted Saxon to work on a loan modification for my investment property. I gave them all information and filled out all their forms several times. When they posted for trustee's sale, I tried one more time to get them to offer me a repayment plan or some alternative. They did NOT work with me in good faith. They foreclosed and I lost my property that I had owned for over ten years. Cheryl Miller

Maybe your payment history/credit score/debt to income ratio weren't where they needed to be and you weren't as qualified a borrower as the owner of the identical property next door. Stop and think bro.
