Chase Bank Poor Customer Service

We are trying to refinance our home with Chase. We have excellent credit and sre taking money out of our home to purchase a Condo for my oldest of 4 to live in for college! We were originally told it would take 30 days, then 30-45 days, then 45-60 days and now maybe 90 days. 3 different times we were asked for documents and 3 times we have been sent to underwriting. We were approved day 1 but still do not have a closing date. No one at Chase wants to help or really cares. They are busy, They are bottle necked and here is the best - One Chase supervision informed me that they are busy saving the Nations Economy and that takes time!

Chase Bank in Coleman, Wisconsin - Chase, Rip Off

I want to pay off my mortgage, Chase wants 2 more payments after the I have paid the mortgage in full. If I refuse to make 2 more payments they will not release the title to my home. I have never been late with a payment in 15 years! I cannot get a straight answer from any of the "Customer Care" reps. I have tried continuously to get thru and they do not answer the phone or I get into the dog chasing tail recording! Where can I get some help with these ignorant fools who keep stealing from honest, hard working people?

Chase Bank in Raleigh, North Carolina - Chase Mortgage is a Bully

This complaint consists of a few parts. Today, for the third time, a man came to my house to try and collect my mortgage payment. I am 2 months behind. When I told the man I did not want to reveal details of my mortgage agreement to a stranger, he became abusive, tried to force his way into my home, and then blocked my driveway with his truck and would not leave, shouting that he would be back when he finally did leave. Today is Sunday and Chase is closed and I cannot speak to anyone there. I have asked them not to trespass before and not to send abusive individuals to my home to terrorize me and my daughter. I have spoken with their representatives too many times to count, letting them know that we are slowly making progress in catching up the two months and will continue to do so. They call here about 10 times a day, even though I have asked them repeatedly not to. Each person either does not record that they spoke to me or pretends they don't know what is going on so that I need to start from the beginning. Additionally, I have sent in 3 packages for MHA and HARP. They rejected the first for no reason and I had to start over, then even though I gave them the UPS tracking for the next two, they pretend they never received them and tell me to start over again. I have had to request the paperwork 3 times before they will even send me out a package....and now I have given up as they deny receiving them, even when UPS tracking shows they arrived at Chase. I find these business practices unethical, and in the case of the trespasser, probably illegal. I have his license plate number and am considering calling the police to report today's incident, unless I receive in writing from chase that noone else will come to my home, and that the new Re-fi package I received yesterday (court ordered by the attorney general) will not also go missing if I turn it in. It costs me money to make all of the photocopies, etc. I want them to stop calling me as well.

Chase Bank finds another way to rip us off!!

I own a small business. As a courtesy for my clients, I do accept personal checks. Rather than make a deposit in my CREDIT UNION account, I go to the bank the checks are drawn from to make sure it will clear. I went into Chase to cash a couple checks, they told me there would be a $6.00 charge per check because I didn't have an account with them. When their customers write checks for purchases or pay bills, do they charge these places a fee?? How can they get away with this?? When will people wake up and quit banking with BANKS????

To anonymous from UT- What a great thing to do for "customer service." Chase needs to take some customer service tips from you! That and everything else they are doing is terrible!

My mom has banked thru "3" companies there. She has had so many problems with them after being a loyal, dependable customer.

They will do anything to GET new customers, like $100.00 for opening a NEW account, but nothing to help retain loyal, long standing customers. Their CEO needs to go on the undercover tv show to learn what is wrong with their employees, policies and the entire company!!

I think your being a bit irrational here. I work at First Imperial Credit Union and we also charge 4.00 to cash checks for non account holders.

If you do not feel like being charged then why not go to YOUR bank and negotiate the check there for FREE, thats why your bank or credit union is there for.

People need to quit crying about fees you can simply avoid. As a business owner I'm sure you are well aware of the cost of business.

I think you have every reason to complain about this policy!! I have hated this policy for years.

If I write a check to someone I expect them to be able to cash it. This is an uncommon fee. Chase said that they implemented the fee to offset their exposure to fraudulent checks being presented to them. No other business charges a fee to accept a check for products/services.

Chase has ,the inside track that they know if there is funds to cover the check presented They only have to worry about forged checks.

I first found out about this fee when I was going out of town years ago and was a leaving a check with my son to have cash through the weekend. I lamented over leaving $45 or $50 and decided on $50.

When my son took the check to cash it, the bank told him all checks $50 or more were charged a $5 fee. He got $45 and I lost $5!!!!!!!

You have no reason to complain about Chase. You don't have an account with them.

I suggest you just deposit the cheques in your account and hope they clear. Or, be selective in whom you accept cheques from. That's the way we operated. If a person looks like a deadbeat or suspicious, tell them no cheques.

Just cash or a credit card. Simple.

Chase Bank in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - 4 Years and counting, no modification !!!!!! THANK YOU CHASE !!!!!

I needed to get a modification from Chase as my business revenue was down 45% and is still down about the same. I applied, spent months faxing and updating paperwork, replacing lost paperwork, made the THREE TRIAL PAYMENTS, AND THEN WAS TOLD I COULDN'T AFFORD THE MODIFICATION PAYMENTS, AFTER MAKING 3 IN A ROW!!!! Does that math add up to you????? Me neither. I re applied, same results. This process sucked coultless hours out of my life monthly until I gave up. BEST PART ABOUT IT NOW!!!! I AM LIVING WITH MY GIRLFRIEND, MOVED OUT OF THE HOUSE AND HAVE BEEN COLLECTING RENT, AND THE BEST PART, NO MORTGAGE PAYMENTS!!!! I DONT HEAR FROM CHASE, NO LETTERS, AN OCCASIONAL CALL AND THATS IT. IT'S BEEN FOUR YEARS NOW AND I DONT CARE HOW LONG I DON'T GET MODIFIED. THANKS CHASE, THIS IS BETTER THAN A MODIFICATION. NO PAYMENTS WORKS FOR ME AND I'M COLLECTING RENT ON TOP OF IT!!!!! WHO SAY'S THERE IS NO JUSTICE... THANK YOU LORD!!!! AND THANK YOU CHASE, FOR WITHOUT YOUR BACKWARDS, HALF-A** WAY OF DOING BUSINESS, THIS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE !!! I TRUELY DO THANK YOU!!!!!

My late significant other got me started with credit. Called Chase, after I moved from our former address, to take care of it all. There were 2 Chase cards involved. I started by giving them 1 of the numbers and they pulled up the other one. At the end of the conversation, it was my understanding that they would send the bills for both to my new address. (I no longer use either)

BUT, they only billed me for the BIGGER one.

(still making monthly payments)

For a few months, I looked up the address from previous bills and made payments on the other...never heard anything back.

Then, I forgot to do that ...and now my credit is all messed up because of it!

Chase Bank in Decatur, Texas - Chase said they can do whatever they want with a loan

I received my private student deferment letter from Chase with the first repayment date. A month latter they sent me a second one saying when the payment was due and the dates were moved up a month. When I called them and asked if it were legal the told me and quote Brian the chase employee said "We can change what ever we want without the clients approval or consent regardless of the contract." Is that legal to change what they want when they want. When will someone stop these tyrant money juggernaut from walking all over people. It frustrates me that they can violate the contract all day and if I do one wrong thing they send the whole arm to my door.

Ask all the people who get the parental loans if they fully understand what they signed. then ask their parents.

The answers might shock u. No one i ever met has everything fully explained to them, its being read from a paper. Second most (not all) parents r just happy their kid can go to school. Private institutions get away with writing contracts 20 pages long and have additional papers that spell out the terms and policies on a completley diffferent set of papers.

Student loans have a cut off date and sometimes kids are forced to sign without reading (NO MONEY NO SCHOOL). Students are thinking about prereqs, midterms, and finals. Not being strong armed by loan terms.

College students of all ages need to understand exactly what their loan policy means because this story is far from uncommon. Changes have to be made and it should come from the entity giving the loan.

Maybe you should have taken a class on how to read. If a contract states something, it must be followed.

Hopefully your mom will take you back to the bank to speak with your loan rep, before she drops you at school. One more thing. When did they start giving student loans to people in elementary school. Part of the responsiblity of signing a contract is understanding the contract.

Do not sign if you do not understand.

Stop blaming others for your poor judgement. Hav a great day
